Works for my old Dell laptop. And as a bonus, on my new laptop as well!
I had an old Dell Inspiron from the Windows 8 days that I had misplaced the the original power cord for, so I thought I'd see if I could get it running again. As soon as I plugged it in, it booted right up. That alone warrants a good rating, but it gets better. The included adapter fits my older Dell perfectly (and very securely) but without the adapter, the plug fits my much newer Asus Vivobook as well. Seeing as both laptops take a 19.5V DC input (pretty common among laptops, but not universal) I thought I'd give it a go on the Asus. It was instantly recognized and started happily charging away, no issues. Sweet!**Keep in mind: Using an AC adapter that's not specifically for your laptop comes with the standard do-it-at-your-own-risk warning - if you are planning to use this on a non-Dell laptop, make sure the plug matches the size specs for your machine (check with manufacturer if you're not sure) and the voltage input (19.5V in this case) matches what the adapter outputs. Also, some laptops can tell when a non-factory AC adapter is used and will refuse to charge if it's not one of theirs, so again, there's no guarantee it will work with anything but a Dell. If you aren't sure, just buy one that is specific to your machine instead.**The cord itself measures about 9 feet assembled, a bit longer with the adapter on. Everything plugs in snugly, so less chance of accidental separation of the cord. The 3-prong plug is a nice-to-have for better safety and I like it much better than the 2-prong wall wart that came with the Asus, as it doesn't put strain on the outlet and doesn't block other outlets when in use. The 90W output (watts, not volts) is perfect for my Dell and higher than my Asus needs; a laptop should draw what it needs to charge or operate, so a 45W or 65W laptop is fine to use on this adapter without worry. Laptops that need more than 90W will require a more powerful unit than this. All in all, I am very pleased with this unit and am already considering getting another for a spare. Time will tell if it holds up, so if there are future issues I will update, but as of now I can recommend this adapter as a good value for the asking price.

Worked great for Dell E6440
This is a very versatile charger. Worked great as a replacement charger for my older Dell E6440. The laptop didn't know it wasn't an original Dell & the 90 watts charged it up fast.Since it has both the 4.5x3.0mm & the 7.4x5.0mm plug ends, it will really fit a wide range of laptop models. Just plug up whichever end your particular brand/model calls for & you are good to go.Had no issues at all with this charger. No heating & laptop recognized it & started charging immediately.

Works well for my 65W laptop.
I was hoping to find a 65w adapter, since they are physically smaller, but this one still works well. It sends the correct dell signature, so the laptop doesn't reject it. Pretty much any dell with work on any dell power supply (if the end fits), because the power supply identifies itself, and it's watt capacity, using that little middle pin. If the laptop needs more wattage, than the power supply can offer, the laptop may still run, but it could refuse to charge. It may run at an underclocked (slowed down) speed as well, so definitely get at least the watt capacity is asks for. The right supply will have enough capacity to run the laptop at full speed, and charge the batteries, simultaneously. If it has more capacity, than what is needed, then it will work fine. You'll just be stuck with a larger and heavier power supply, minus any benefit. Enjoy.

Great oem replacement
This makes a great alternative to a dell oem charger.I do not get any low wattage claims when booting my laptop so this must be a true 90 watt charger.I have been carrying this around for the past month and have had no issues quality of cable is great no fraying just a great charger at a great price.

Seems to be well made. Charges a dell latitude 3190
This works on our Dell Latitude 3190 laptop. It charges quickly. It seems to be made of quality materials. The cord is fairly long and sturdy. It has worked out nicely as a back up charger.

The battery charges and the laptop runs.
And I do not get adapter warnings anymore, although I was ignoring them.
