Just what I was looking for. Now I can learn more at home without extra classes that cost a bomb.

This is an excellent book for a beginning quilter (not piecer). I recently bought a longarm and have stood many long minutes just staring at the fabric and wondering what to quilt. This book has given me many ideas along with the many practice pages. I've heard it take 10,000 hours of practice to become good at anything but I think with books like this one, it may not take so long.The specific instructions (almost "paint" by number) is what I found most helpful in this book. And the designs are easy working up to more complicated.I definitely would recommned this book to all quilters - you might find a new design that is just your cup of tea.

I have been trying to get up my courage to machine quilt, and this book is a lot of help. It shows just how to sew some beautiful designs, like arrows that show what direction to go to make the design complete.
