Fairview GR-9984 High Capacity RV Camper LP Propane Automatic Changeover Regulator

Installed new regulator on my 2021 Lance 2465 on 4/18/2025, RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE. Original equipment for the Lance. except I changed out the rubber hoses for the following stainless braided hoses:(1) LONGADS 15 inch (Packs of 2) RV Propane Hoses with Gauge, Stainless Steel Braided Camper Tank Hoses). Easy install.Purchased the following for the install to check for leaks.(1) (Natural Gas Detector, TopTes PT177 Gas Leak Detector with Audible & Visual Alarm, Portable Gas Sniffer to Locate Combustible Leak Sources Like Methane, Propane for Home (Includes Battery x2)-Orange)EASY TO INSTALL AND VERIFY THAT THERE WERE NO LEAKS. RV TAVEL TRAILER BACK IN ACTION WITH NEW LP GAS REGULATOR AND HOSES.

This is a quality made item, not some cheap knockoff and the original brand that came with my Grand Design 5th wheel. Though our camper is 7 yrs old w/gentle use I was surprised the valve unit started to leak so soon but I'm sure movement from travel and different climates can cause some premature fault. Do not bother trying the soap leak test on these, there's too many sneaky areas these leak from that you can't detect therefore spend $15 on a gas detector which I realized everyone should have that uses any sort of gas, especially on a camper that is vulnerable. The detector immediately confirmed the leak in the valve and not the hoses or a connection. Fyi, the smaller red valves also tend to leak prematurely so be sure to routinely ck w/the detector that has sound.

Arrived quickly and was a perfect fit for our 2004 Forest River Rockwood 5th wheel. Great price.

The old one on the trailer was leaking, found this on Amazon, looked at others at the local hardware store. Bought this and saved $30 replaced the old on this didn’t leak expensive propane.

Purchased to replace and only lasted 7 months before needing to be replaced again.

As with every camper - old one expired from heat of the sun and being used for years.This one replaced original manufacture installation.As the original has not been recalled (happens all the time) I went with same model.

The media could not be loaded. After installing this brand new Fairview GR-9984 LP Regulator on our 5th wheel, I did a leak test. I discovered the regulator LEAKED from the top and from the signal flag areas. So disappointing to have to find another regulator, uninstall, return this one and then redo the whole installation. I wonder if the next Fairview GR-9984 I receive will be any better???

This is the one you want. It's a little tall so you might have to adjust the bracket and lock down wing nut. Just bend the tabs up on the large wing nut. These have been good, no fail for my business.
