Engrossing story, full of vivid characters that immediately seem familiar. LG has a great eye for detail and talent for vivid descriptions that bring the places and people alive, with a subtle sense of humor woven throughout. Overall, a really great read and impressive debut. Look forward to reading more!

I couldn’t put the book down, and look forward to the sequel. The story was engaging and left me wanting more. As a Wisconsin native, the references to fond places I’m familiar with in Madison and Milwaukee was especially exciting! Brilliant writing and storytelling!

This is a great read for anyone that loves Wisconsin. The people, culture, and landscape descriptions are truly Wisconsin and beautifully detailed. Can’t wait for the second helping of Scooter! Hope it comes in my lifetime!
