I thought it'll be quite strong but it's not all that strong.

I'm impressed with the quality of the set overall especially the magnet and rope. Came well packed in a hard sided plastic carry box. Magnet is not too heavy so an average size person or young adult, can really get some distance throwing it. Gloves and thread locker are a nice bonus as well. I recommend the set to someone new to magnet fishing or even as a backup set. The reason why I say beginner is because the magnets capacity is rated around 1,000 lbs. and some ppl like to use heavier magnets for bigger catches. I would buy the set again 100%,

I chose this kit because it had everything all the others had at the lowest price. You get the 1000lb double sided pull magnet with the option to pull from the top or the flat side. This magnet will grab ahold of just about anything and holds it tight,if you get ahold of something slippery the included grappling hook comes in real handy , the thread locker assures you don't lose ur gear, the rope is braided nylon, very strong with steel carbiners o.n each end and longer than my ability to throw it. A decent pair waterproof work gloves and a nice sturdy hard shell case to carry it all in . This item was exactly as described and just what I was looking for. very happy with this kit.

Very strong magnet, weight is perfect. Power of the magnet is very strong. Very fun to use. Ease of removal is decent. And functional is great

So I got this bagged it and it works pretty well I mean it's a magnet but it's not nearly as powerful as it's made to believe in the other issue is that you have to really come across the item with just the bottom of the magnet so it's not like the sides or very magnetic so it makes a little difficult to pick up things. The other issue is that it's definitely not going to hold a thousand pounds I could guarantee you that if it gets a hold of a very large steel object it might provide 75 to 100 lb but there's no way it would even come close to even holding a thousand pounds. So that in itself is pretty misleading. Also the rope that it comes with is very short it's not long enough it's maybe 60 ft so if you're throwing something out 20 ft 30 ft and it's 10 15 30 ft deep you're almost out of it wouldn't actually even reach the bottom of the river we were throwing it into

I got this for my son for the holidays and he loves it! He took his grandfather out to try it on New Year’s Eve, and they had a great time. Until the magnet shattered 🤦‍♀️ but this I am pretty sure is human error. It was crazy cold and it shatter when it hit a rock. It appears to have grabbed all its pieces and looks cool. Maybe we can repurpose some of it. They picked up a new magnet from harbor freight and I’ve added a replacement to his wishlist just incase. And we’ve marked the calendars to go again when it warms up.

I brought this item and the magnet is ment to be 1000lbs pull and it don't even pull the old 700lb one I want a refund or a 2000lb magnet
