Does it’s job with no issues

You really do get exactly whats pictured. The color is exactly how it looks in the site pictures and I think my pictures do not do it justice. I got the chestnut color that has this antique, distressed look that gives it a unique character.The thing is designed to fit a standard checkbook perfectly. It definitely is one of those luxury items that are not necesarry, but just add so much to an ensemble. Most people dont use checks nowadays, but those that do are definitely the type of person to do it in style.The leather is quite soft, but feels sturdy yet malleable. The inside has this suede feel to it. The quality is very apparent on the button and stitching of the leather book. It even comes wrapped in a protective soft fabric that I suppose can double as a cleanig/buffing rag. I will point out that the inside of the pocket is a little "dusty" but thats just the leather fibers left behind from cutting and manufacturing, they wont be there long.This will just end up looking better with prolonged use and proper care.**UPDATE: I want to emphasize the proper care because I grabbed mine with a wet hand and it left my thumb printed on it. I have'nt tried to buff it out yet, so I dont know if its permanent. This does not mean its poorly made, its just sensitive leather that requires quite the proper care. I wouldnt have minded some care instructions because I am no expert

I absolutely LOVE the simple design of this checkbook cover. The leather is not only strong and substantial, but the color is so deep and rich. The leather is pliable, but even after many weeks of use, it still looks brand new. There is a small area (behind the checks or the register) that can be used to stash a card or two, or even a bit of folded cash. The snap closure is easy to align, and stays snapped until you see fit to open the checkbook cover.My Mom has 2 separate checking accounts, so the unique Color of this checkbook cover makes it easy for her to grab the right checkbook without really thinking it through. This would be a nice gift for someone who still carries a checkbook around 😊It’s well made and the stitching will hold up and the button closure is niceIt arrived with some spots and blemishes which may be part of the lookIt does not have any pockets for ID or debit cards nor does it have the plastic for duplicate checks
