Exposure Remote Switch Mk2 One Color, One Size

Not fit for purpose
Shocking design flaw. Having had the previous version with velcro strap I was hoping that the newer version would be better. How wrong I was. The problem with it is that there is no recess on the switch itself for the rubber band style attachment to clip into (think Garmin cadence sensor style attachment). This means that when the band is tightened around the brake hood and clipped onto the switch unit it simply doesn't stay there under any kind of pressure eg moving hands on the hoods. Really poor design by Exposure which is unusual.

Does as expected, poor mounting
Unlike the previous review, I've not had an issue with the band staying in place, there *ARE* groves for the band to go into, granted they are not as large as garmin or polar (Polar's are far superior to garmin), however, I've never had it come off due to usage with gloves on etc.The issue that i *DO* have, is the fact that the rubber band perished within a year of use, this is with the bike stored away from sunlight, and no corrosive chemicals used while cleaning.I've not had issues with o-rings for other devices mounted within a few cm of this.
