I like it this product because it magnifies well and appears to be solidly built. I use it for magnifying anything I can't see well.

I have been using this product for more than two weeks now. In that time, I've had an opportunity to evaluate both the quality of the product and the overall usability. In creating this review I've considered both the type of material used in making the product as well as the overall fit and finish. I've also considered how well the product meets my needs and whether there are any shortcomings or particular advantages in using this product.For this particular product, the type of material used in the manufacture and creation of the product seems to be of very good quality. One must consider that for any product of this type there is a balance between the type of material used and the cost that is to be passed on to the consumer. I think for this product that balance has been met fairly well and I believe that the product will meet the expectations of most buyers.With regard to the fit and finish of this particular product, I believe it to be about average for the products of similar make or style. That is to say that it is not of poor or moderate craftsmanship/finish nor is it something that I would rate as outstanding. The quality of the piece is such that I feel it is a good value for the money.Finally, as with many products of this type, the value that a consumer sees is dependent on the expectation. When I ordered this product my expectations were moderate, especially because of the price. In an age where we demand low price but often want high quality, it is often best if we expect moderate to good quality instead. I did that with this product as was pleasantly surprised to find that the quality was at least good, if not just a tad bit better than good. For that reason, and those set out above, I'd make a recommendation to buy this product.NOTE: I received this product at a reduced cost in exchange for the promise to file an honest and unbiased review. To meet that obligation, I typically use the product for an extended period, no less than two weeks, and under the typical conditions that one might use for a product of this type.

There are at least four differently branded, but otherwise identical magnifier glasses sold on Amazon. As of this writing, they are:* This one,  obmwang  $6.95, but right now on Lightning Deal for $5.49*  BearMoo  $8.45*  DR Magnum  $9.97 (Amazon's Choice)*  Marrywindix  $11.99 (Amazon's Choice, and the first that comes up in search results)They vary only in which part of the handle and frame is black or white. They all are offered by third party sellers (their respective manufacturers), and fulfilled by Amazon.They claim different magnification power numbers, but I'm pretty sure the numbers are the same in reality. Just a typical sloppy marketing or data handling by the respective product owners.I decided to buy this one based on the price. It arrived today. It magnifies. The lights work. The light switch works. Everything seems solidly built.Will it hold? I don't know.You read a few complains in the reviews across the four products that this or that went wrong. I guess this can happen to any one of the versions of the product, with the same probability.Take advantage of the Lightning Deal right now, and buy this one. When the Lightning Deal is gone, still stick to this one, as this is your cheapest scenario.

Beginning to grow cataracts, so needed help to see very small print. This is perfect. The light helps when in low light levels.

Works great! Clear and sharp. I stupidly dropped onto concrete floor from 6 feet. Did not break glass but glass popped out of holder and small chip appeared required I buy another one which I am doing. This and the 150x computer hand held wand microscope (Celestron) both at dirt cheap prices are GREAT!! Wish I could find a computer microscope of at least 3000x but still looking. Need hand held wand to go over my skin looking for pesky IMPOSSIBLE to exterminate bugs that are ruining my life and destroying our home. Doctors have no clue so they find something 1% out of norm with me and order dozens of tests. Waste of time! No more. Exterminators will not exterminate bugs (they guarantee their work) unless they know what it is. Orkin Terminix etc. cannot identify it so I am STUCK! Left to my own devices to identify the bug, I NEED an electron beam microscope but at $500,000 out of my price range. Doctor's reaction when they see me - "are you still alive?". Infestation spreading fast but hit me first due to Lyme disease and an in inherited skin disease. Anyway, You WILL soon need this magnifier plus the Celestron computer microscope (under $40!). Buy now as there will be a big run soon.

This works well. Easy to use

Takes 3 AAA batteries and the light is about as brite as a cave a dawn. I think its a bit strong but if you need this magnification its great.
