Q: How many kilos needed to fill a standard pillow?

Many thanks for your kind interest in Organic Husks . We produce 6 sizes of pillows, you don't state which size you are making, but for standard 17" x 24"I suggest 2.6 kilos . Q: Hi yah I need some to top up my pillows, can I ask how many times your buckwheat is washed? X

Never wash buckwheat.... ever! If the pillow does get wet, strip them out immediately & dry in sun if can. Wash the cover, not the buckwheat.

Q: I would like to fill an adult sized bean bag. Would this buckwheat be comfortable enough for this purpose?

Yes you could. You need to be aware that after a while the husks grind down and it will need topping up compared to the polystyrene beads and will probably feel a bit more solid but still able to be moulded. However it's a great "green" way of filling a bean-bag!

no, no lasting smell. When you first open the bag there is a slight roasted smell but that soon disappears :-)
