Outdoor Use Combination lock is best used as a gate lock, gym lock, or locker lock. Easy To Set & Reset The four-digit dial allows for thousands of possible numeric combinations.

Review: Awesome little lock. - This is a light and smallish look, with the shackle about 1-inch (thumb-tip to thumb-knuckle) across. A determined thief will kill it with a bolt cutter without too many problems, but as a casual deterrent it'll do a great job. The combination mechanism is in the bottom of the lock, with a small plastic "skirt" around it that will direct water away from the mechanism unless you install the lock the wrong way up! It's also quite neat in that it will only re-lock after you have scrambled the access code. If you try to close the lock with your desired combination still set, it'll refuse to lock. You can't click it closed but inadvertently leave it openable just with a pull. Setting or altering the combination involves a separate side key that is used to override the security mechanism - provided you have entered your existing code first. You will need to keep this side-key safe somewhere. Value for money, yes! We have other Master locks and they work well even after years in the elements. It's a bit bulky compared to a key lock, but seems solid enough.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this lock have any harmful chemicals Prop 65**
A: Don’t put it in your drink or cook with it, if it mixes into your drink or food it could make you sick but I believe the report said you’d have to do that 834 times to have a negative affect on you. 
But on a side note I read just the paper from the Prop 65 rule could make you violently sick if you eat all the paper in just one setting.

**Q: Is it for outdoor use?**
A: It hasn't fared well for us. We have an older one which held up for about 3 years before needing to be replaced. The lifetime warranty allows you only one replacement, so it really isn't a lifetime warranty at all. If you live near the beach, consider yourself lucky if it works for 2-3 years. That said, it is for outdoor use, just expect to lubricate frequently especially after rain or if you live near saltwater.

**Q: What's the diameter of the shackle? I need to make sure it can fit through a hole in a security box.**

**Q: Lost the change key -- how to reset the combo without it?**
A: you can just use a small screwdriver to push in and change the combo while doing so. The Key really just holds down the bar inside for you.
