I love setting up any gauge of train set and this one is "right on".I am a 90 yo great-grammy who has been playing with train sets all my life.Heaven forbid that I take one of my pricey n gauge sets from my 3 level train layout and put it under the tree. (Think cherry blossoms all you train lovers).This holiday train is about ho gauge, I think. Well designed. Good sounding "vocals" appropriate for expected sounds.I was amazed with the track design. Really sturdy and simple to assemble and stay put.Battery box takes very little effort and a very small Phillips Head. (Pretty Safe. Unless you have a Really Determined child. Then, God help you everywhere!)And, one last caution. It is time to drop the sexist advertising limiting things like these types of products. Now days every child can dream of growing into every kind of interestand vocation.

Always Wanted a Train Set Around My Tree for Christmas
This train set is so awesome. It is so special with the sound and smoke. I've always wanted a train set to travel around my Christmas Tree and this year I purchased this one. Very pleased with this purchase.

Our grandson loved it , but I was a little disappointed I thought it would have been bigger but MY FULT for not really Measuring . But like I said grandson loved it next Christmas yet a mother train only bigger lol. ( starting him a collection )

EDIT:: from 3* to 1*We tried using the steam function today and it just leaks water everywhere and doesn't do steam because it can't hold water. What a joke. The picture I shared is of our wet floor. I cleaned some of it up before deciding to get a picture of it.It's alright. It's certainly FUN! but it's kind of cheap feeling to hold and look at it. And it falls off the tracks VERY easily. Like so incredibly easy. My son still loves it, though, and it was an okay price for it.. so we're keeping it.
