There is also a zipped compartment that runs along the inside of the back of the case which is good for shoes or toiletries. There is a zip that runs from front to back of the bottom of the case, I put my beach towel in there on a recent trip to keep it away from clothes and help pad the bottom. There are the usual internal straps but they have great little devices to keep them out of the way until you have finished packing.On another note, I bought a red one which looks great but after one flight it's pretty grubby!
