In description of the product it says that electronic module should be removed prior to washing. We actually never needed to wash the toy. Spot cleaning with soapy wet rag was enough. **Q: Sound stopped working after a month? Anyone else experience this? It was loud when purchased and then after only a little use, sound went out.** A: I have experienced the same problem. I am on ball #3. The first ball had diminished audio in less than two weeks. The second ball had diminished audio in less than one week. I have just exchanged for a third ball - different store. (Thinking possibly a different stock might make a difference.) The diminished audio defect has nothing to do with the batteries. (Battery issue ruled out.). We love the size of the ball, the brightness, etc. Perfect for my 7 month old grandson.
