Emjoi Emagine Epilator Replacement Head Dual Opposed 72 Tweezer for AP-18 and AP-18R

I only had the whole unit a few month when I allowed it to grab onto my sock while using it. Not good! The gears on the unit and head are plastic, so the gear on the head strips and render the head useless. But the gear on the head was softer and is what ultimately failed. So when the head got jammed, the unit kept running despite turing it off immediately. I know the issue was my fault but I was a bit ticked because the whole thing was expensive. You'd think they'd use sturdier parts.Anyhow, I came back to Amazon to look for a new head and was so relieved that a replacement head was in fact, available! I was a bit concerned that perhaps the new head wouldn't fit -based on a few prior reviews, but it does in fact the AP-18 like it should.Although a bit costly on it's own, the new head actually seems to work *better* than the one that came with the unit. It's quieter and seems a more efficient. All in all, it's lot cheaper than trying to find a new epilator!Knowing to keep the new unit away from *any* clothing, I think this new head will last for a while now.So glad they sell replacement heads!!

So thrilled a seller on Amazon offers the replacement head for the cordless purple emagine epilator. Relieved it's working again. Arrived fast and now it's like new again. For the high price of the epilator I feel the plastic gears should be better made. Mine didn't last a whole year of regular use which was very disappointing. I can't shave with a razor anymore after 8 back surgeries I have way too much nerve damage and after trying a couple months ago I literally took off about 2 to 3 inches of skin, should have hurt like hell but didn't even feel it. This is much safer for me to use. I highly recommend epilator, once you get past the 3rd time using you really do get used to it. Please keep this stocked on Amazon. Would have given 5 stars but feel since gears aren't more durable it's not earned 5 stars.

When my last “head” lost its teeth I decided to try another brand who was #1 on Amazon at the time. For the last year I’ve been a bloody mess and have been trying to figure out if it was breaking off the hairs or breaking off and pulling out some. Today I put my new replacement head on the beloved Emjoi. After spending less than half of the time it took with the “other” one i couldn’t wait to write this review. NO PAIN, NO BLEEDING, perfection as I had remembered epilating to be (I’ve been epilating for 20+ years with this brand). With only one use I will update after I see how well the replacement head is. For now I’m the happiest I’ve been in a year!

I have had this epilator for 3 years. It is awesome. ........BUT I have to keep buying new heads for epilator. The plastic cogs get stripped and you cannot put to much pressure on it. Its very disappointing in that respect.

I've bought several replacements heads for the Emjoi Emagine Epilator. This one is pretty much useless. It was new in a box (not used), but does not work half as well as other replacement heads. Maybe it was just a bad production day!

These plastic gear driven tweezers break after s few months of use but it’s great that you can get these replaced rather than purchasing an entire new unit... Actually the new unit is just a few dollars more.UPDATE. These replacement heads are not nearly as sturdy as the original OEM ones. Maybe they are refurbished, but I've had ones arrive already grinding their gears. I have to reduce my rating from 4 to 1 Sorry shave guy!

I've had two Emoji epilators over the past 15 years. I'm STILL on my second one; however, it wasn't yankin' the hair like it was. I did get some string in the head, that I couldn't get out. I bought a different brand (cheaper), and it just didn't do the job.Then, I found this, for less than half the price of NEW Emoji epilator. I got it on Wednesday and used it last night. Smooth as silk!

Fits well. Have only used once with no problems
