Payne Bros Custom Knives 6.5" Delta Damascus Blade Knife kit - Knife Making - Knife Kits (WENGE)

I bought two of these knife kits for gifts and am very disappointed. I checked the rockwell hardness, one was 28 and the other 30 on the C scale. I called the company and asked what the hardness should be and was told 59-61c. They told me they do not check the hardness of the blades when they get them in and I could exchange them but good chance new ones would not be hardened either. The blades look beautiful but are useless for cutting.

Picked up as a gift for my Dad and he loved making the knife. He told me the blade was good quality. Giving 3 stars as one of the handle pieces was cracked on arrival and he had to go to a store and buy new ones.

Love it very sharp.
