Amazing Pencil Sharpener! perfect for all types of pencils including Prismacolor Pencils.
I've searched for the ultimate pencil sharpener for a long time and I think I have found it!This pencil sharpener looks quirky but don't let that put you off, you can control how sharp you want the point by adjusting the numbers on the dial, I have found that the number 3 setting sets a good point on all standard pencils including graphite and hardcore coloured pencils. For prismacolor pencils I first started with a 3 however, I like my points to be pointy so I adjusted the dial to a 4 and I get a perfect tip every time. There is a close option on the pencil sharpener so that the bits don't fall out and the back opens easily for emptying. This really is a fantastic pencil sharpener and a brilliant bit of engineering from Japan and for the price it's definitely worth the money!

Brilliant! Buy one!
Only just got this, so can't comment on longevity of the sharpener, but so far I am very very impressed and immediately ordered another. I've never had such pointy pencils! It fits ordinary size pencils and, although a little tight fitting, copes admirably with my larger Derwent Coloursoft and Drawing pencils and doesnt chew them up like other lesser sharpeners). It is much smoother in operation than ordinary sharpeners; you wonder if it is doing anything, but only takes a couple or so turns to get a nice point. The back cover is not quite so smooth when removing, but hopefully wont break, and should hold a few pencils sharpenings before the need to empty.Brilliant little sharpener, great design. Got to hand it to the Japanese! (and only took about about 10days from 100Ways seller)

Lovely little sharpener
Most unusual thing about this sharpener is that it creates different points, from chunkier (ideal for soft pencils like derwent Coloursoft) to a fine thin point which is great for something harder like polychromos. Only negative is it doesn’t fit chunkier pencils in like derwent lightfasts or Albrecht durer without making a few marks on the barrel

Very nifty little sharpener
My pencil collection comes in multiple sizes and widths and this deals with all of themFor larger stubbier pencils, settings 1 or 2 are the best. For narrower pencils 3 or 4 are better. Even deals with the triangular pencils that get shredded with other sharpeners perfectlyAnd it's not too big either so fits into my pencil rollThe collection pot isn't very big so you've got to empty it quite frequently, but that's at best a minor niggle. Don't know how long the adjusting wheel will last - seems a little flimsy, but they're so cheap I'm not too botheredDefinately a useful piece of kit for your pencil case

Works well
I wanted a sharpener that could handle my chinagraph pencils and this does the trick. The cores of chinagraphs are soft so it is important that the edge of the sharpness is really sharp and perhaps it is Japanese know how on making things really sharp that makes this work. Inside it is just an ordinary sort of sharpner that you would hold between thumb and forefinger but with some mechanism which allows a wide or narrow angled point. Bit expensive though.

Good adjustable sharpener
This is a nice little sharpener. Fits well in my pencil case and has a decent amount of space for shapenings so you can use it quite a few times before needing to find a bin. It's sturdy enough to live a drop of around 5 foot with no issues. Most importantly it sharpens my pencils with little effort and no pencil breakages (so far).

Its Ok
The sharpener is good and so are the settings for it but the close one didn't work for me and spilled all over my pencil case which turned the whole thing gray

T'Gaal Adjustable Pencil Sharpener
Delighted with this purchase. I'd heard about how good the STAD T'Gaal Sharpener is because of the ability to pick between 5 different point lengths/types. I was not disappointed - in fact I'm really very happy with it. My Prismacolour Premier pencils were being quickly eaten up by my grinder type sharpener and this fab little gadget has stopped all that. My only concern is that you must BEWARE because it goes on and on sharpening without you being able to tell its already done! You could easily carry on turning when it had actually finished ages ago. Try turning maybe 5 times and then look at it, then continue if necessary. That's my only concern. The company I bought it from are EXCELLENT and I'd definitely recommend them to everyone. I'll be using them again when I next purchase anything. They didn't charge postage and I received it all the way from Japan to the UK in about one week. It was well packed and protected. Try this supplier - you will not be disappointed I'm sure. 👍EDITED COMMENT (AUG 2018).I'm amending this review because I've hardly used my sharpener (I only colour occasionally) and it's completely useless already. My Prismacolor Premiers are impossible to get any point on at all now, they just remain short and stumpy (I've only used it on these - nothing else) . Disappointed with how little use/time I got out of this. I've cleaned it, used a graphite pencil in it and taken great care with it but it's useless now. I kinda expected a longer life out of this. Has anyone else found this? I've since ordered another one and I know what I did to destroy both. I've got a graphite pencil that has no wood and is 100% graphite with no wood just a coloured outer surface. Since my 2nd one broke after I tried to sharpen it using this same pencil, it was that which ruined both. I didn't realise on 1st one but as soon as I did it with 2nd one, I realised. BEWARE. DONT USE A SIMILAR GRAPHITE 100% NO WOOD OUTER LAYER PENCIL BECAUSE IT WILL RUIN IT.DECEMBER 2018:Purchased another one of these because, truth be told, I really trust them. Wouldn't really want to use any other sharpener for my expensive Prismacolor Premier pencils. Worth every penny for as long as it stays sharp.Excellent seller. Definitely buy from here because they are fast and reliable. Comes in perfect condition, faster than expected and all the way to the UK for no postage charges. AMAZING SELLER. 100%.

Buenas puntas, 5 tamaños distintos
The media could not be loaded.

Kaufempfehlung!

Great sharpener that does the trick
Bought it because someone on the internet recommended it to me lolCanada Post went ham and is still going strong so shout OUT TO OUR CANADIAN POSTAL WORKERS MAKING TREKS AND GETTING PEOPLE IN NEED THEIR PACKAGES, we salute you, please stay safe out there!Thank you for bringing this to me a week before you expected to!Great sharpener I mostly use it for my colored pencils and my number 2 school pencils even though I am now six years out of school! It has a compartment to empty the shavings, five settings to sharpen your pencil thick or thin, standard sizes really, no thicc boy pencils in there, but it does the trick and it makes me pretty glad I spent the money.Well worth your money and pretty decent price for us Canadian folks~
