Sehnsucht Anniversary Edition

I first bought Sehnsucht back in 1998 shortly after it had been released for the very first time. To me this is one of Rammstein's best albums by far. It is rare that I can put a CD in my discman & just let it play every track without skipping over some songs. Sehnsucht, however, is one such album. I like every single song, I love the whole sound & feel of this album. Their lyrics are clever & some, like Engel, work really well even when you translate it to English.Most of all, I enjoy their actual talent as musicians. The guitar & keyboard work is particularly haunting on several of the songs plus the addition of sound effects & orchestral instruments (violin, etc...) on AlterMann, Spiel Mit Mir. To me they share several of the qualities that Guns N'Roses exhibited at their peak-good lyrics that are not just filler fluff, talented creative musicians with original unique musical compositions, and they know how to put on a really good entertaining show in concert.This whole anniversary edition release is so well done-from the outer packaging, the photography, the sound quality, etc...it cost more than a regular album but I feel my money was well spent.There is a large high quality glossy booklet included inside the box-approximately 40 pages-that's 20 front & back. The lyrics for each song are in there along with a whole bunch of awesome photographs of the band members & original photos/artwork from the original release insert/booklet.There is also an extra bonus track on this version of Sehnsucht-they added a new mix from 2023 of the song Spiel Mit Mir. It is pretty similar but has a more haunting sound. Additionally there are some different sound effects & repetition of background vocals added in that makes it slightly different from the original. I like both versions.Sound quality on the CD is impeccable & clear/crisp. I have nothing bad to say about this album-if you are a Rammstein fan & you liked Sehnsucht at it's original release time, this edition is definitely worth the little bit of extra money.

I bought this as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend since he’s a huge fan of this band. The vinyl, the pictures and the packaging are great. We were blown away when he opened it.

It come in a cool chrome slipcase. It has a bonus track of the new 2023 mix of Spiel Mit Mir. Awesome anniversary edition.

Great album on vinyl. No issues but this is a 45 RPM album which is great, but it does not mention that anywhere on the description or on the actual record. Not a big deal but a heads up to make sure you set your speed to 45.

Loved it when it was first released and still love it today. Was hard to find but glad I purchased it
