AWESOME way to listen to music.
I received this as a Christmas present in 2023, and yes, it is still working. This is an incredible way to get away from your phone, and is a worthy investment. At some points I have downloaded probably over 10 playlists, and hours and hours of songs, and it still functions well, though it can sometimes be a bit glitchy. (If you download a ton of music.) I should also note that it also works well with podcasts, and the audio is really good. You do need to connect through the app first, but I also love connecting it to bluetooth speakers. Highly recommend!

Too many issues with both Internet/Spotify and and Bluetooth
Update: Support has been good and I have been providing details on the issues I am having. I even tried to go to a different WiFi hotspot as well as use my Phones hotspot but I continued having connection issues and it keeps disconnecting from wifi/internet. Also, it even disconnected many times from Bluetooth. After finally being able to download the upgrade and a add few songs (which was way to slow to sync), I then tried to connect with my Bose QC1 Earbuds and got a lot of noise out of the left channel.. They did work with the Bose QC2 but I use the QC1when exercise so, that's just too many issues for one little device. Its possible my ISP owns part of the issue but they certainly did not cause the Bluetooth noise issues So, returning the product as defective and will not bother with trying a replacement. Its also possible I just have a defective device (i.e. bad wifi/blutooth radio in the device?) but I spent too much time with this thing already and I don't want to keep testing their product (unless I get paid ;). Honestly, Iโve never had this much trouble connecting a device and getting it to work. I have many IOT type devices and some were a bit of a pain but once working, they worked well. Not this device! After initially trying to set up the device, it keeps trying to download and perform a software update, but this keeps failing saying I have a poor connection, which is not the case because I checked with my router, and I have a strong WiFi connection with the mighty 3. Unfortunately you canโt skip this upgrade so it just keeps asking me over and over if you wanna upgrade after it fails I was able to attempt to sync some playlist but it took way too long and never finished so I donโt know whatโs going on with this device. Iโm gonna have to return it, but I will reach out to support and see what they say But if this is any indication of quality, this thing is just no good.

Belive the bad reviews (updated)
Its incresibly frustraiting to try to get this thing to work i synced playlists added bluetooth speaker and after that everytime i will press the play button nothing would actually play and kept disconnecting from the app on my phone and kept asking for me to plug in the mighty and connect kept going in circles never actually managed to get any sound out of my speaker or my headphones Updated. Its working perfect now im not sure if it was a glitch or an error on my part but i went back the next day and it worked perfectly i paired it with a sonos move and a jbl flip and both work perfect no issues with sound or connectivity or sound quality im not sure what the problem was but im glad it works. Works perfect with music and podcast no support for audio bokks yet

Good sound and function. Great screen less option for kids but the case could be sturdier.
Bought for my 6 year old. So far so good. Love that this doesnโt have a screen. Sound quality is great. Battery life is great. My only concern is the quality of the plastic (especially because it is likely to get dropped at some point.) We used to have an $25 mp3 player and the case was much more robust than this one. We havenโt experienced the glitches that other reviewers have mentioned but Iโll update if they arise. Tip: when setting up do this first. Charge the device and turn it on before opening the Mighty App for the first time. When the app first opens you have to select allow Bluetooth connection then and there. You have to make the Bluetooth connection within the Mighty App. The first go around, I opened the Mighty App first and skipped this step and later on the device would not connect through the iPhone>Settings>Bluetooth. Once I reinstalled the Mighty App, turned on the device, opened the App, allowed Bluetooth connection and signed into WiFi within the App; it took about 5 minutes to get it synched with my Spotify, download software update, and ready for use.

Updated review. Wish Iโd never bought it.
Updated review April 1, 2025 Well, this little device has turned out to be one of the worst purchases Iโve made. I bought it for my autistic teen son, because music is his security blanket. You need to know how vital it is that he has his music, because he cannot function without it when we are in unfamiliar surroundings or there is a different plan in his daily schedule. Music keeps him regulated. And it eases the stress on me, his caregiver and mom. This device only worked well for a few months, then it would randomly stop working. The clip on the back came off, which made it difficult to keep track of the device. Customer service sent me a new one free of charge, which was appreciated. But the โbrokenโ days are more frequent than the working days. Iโve had no end of trouble with it, and we take exceptional care of it. Iโve done all the things customer service has told me to do, and nothing makes it work consistently. It is truly an awful product. And my son is having more raving meltdowns because we cannot anticipate when it will suddenly stop working. So we are on the hunt for a different music device (one without a screen, because he is screen-addicted). I wish I could give more! I doubted this little thing, but itโs a powerhouse. Got it for my teen ASD son who has a screen addiction. Up til now, he used my phone to listen to his Spotify playlist, which heโd tell me to switch up (I played DJ). I wanted him to have more control over his music, plus I wanted my phone back. Ordered this before our vacation, and it worked beautifully. Pros: Holds multiple playlists Connects to Spotify Clip on back to attach to your clothing or bag No screen Simple buttons Charges quickly Several hours of play on one full charge Playlist upload is quick and easy Cons: Very tiny and easily misplaced if not careful Itโs basic and easy to use. Reminds me of the old iPod shuffle.

Awesome concept - shaky execution
I love the idea of this thing - reminds me of my old Ipod nano. My daughter was attending a camp for 2.5 weeks that doesn't permit screens, so this seemed like a good idea. Setup was a bit annoying. There's a glitch where you can't do the initial "out of the box" update it needs with android 14 - luckily we had an old android phone running ver12 laying around, so I installed the app on that, did the initial setup, and then my android 14 device connected fine. Syncing is slow - but that's not a huge deal - it did freeze a few times and I had to restart, but eventually got it all set up. The issue we ran into is that every 4-5 days, it wants to re-verify your account status with Spotify to make sure you still have the rights to be listening offline. I get the idea here - but you would think it would be smart enough pass some datapoint through the app to tell it when your monthly cycle ends and only have to check this once a month. So I had to physically drive up to the camp to do a re-sync on multiple occasions over the 2.5 week period. The first time took forever, and after some digging online I discovered that sync over a 5g network - you have to turn on your phone's wifi hotspot and connect through that. Seems odd, but OK. I just don't get why it has to be hyper vigilant about verifying with spotify. A couple of times a month would be sufficient. But every 5 days? That's overkill. I guess if you're never leaving home with it for more than 3-4 days at a time or have some way to access the app to resync if needed, this would be great...for runners, bikers, etc...even as a tool to give to kids for an extended break from devices...but not if they are going to be unable to access the app for more than 4-5 days. Probably not the best. I ended up dropping off a 2nd gen ipod as a backup. Makes you really appreciate the convenience of back in the day when you just tossed a discman and a cd wallet in your bag and you were done with it. If someone could modify this or come up with something that was smart enough to base the re-sync on the account refresh date - you'd be on to something.

Perfect for the intended use.
Had it several weeks for gym use and running with Beats Studio+ or Open Run headphones and syncing using a high end 5G Android tablet. This thing is small, weights nothing and clips anywhere. Syncing with Spotify and connecting with the phones has been flawless. The Android app is clear and easy to use. No issues. I generally do not do reviews, but this is one product that is designed and performs as advertised. Since I prefer not to use a smartphone (using a flip phone on the go with a tablet around the house), the Mighty has proved perfect for working out. Simple and it works. There have been very infrequent (maybe twice so far) tracks that had 1-2 seconds of static, but it's uncertain whether that is a corrupted download, the bluetooth connection, or the Mighty. The only means of changing the exact play order on the unit is to change it in Spotify and resync. The Mighty can be switched to shuttle. Do I wish it had a longer battery life for traveling? Yes, but it is as advertised at 8 hrs and comfortably meets the gym or 5K duration. Also, it uses a small phono type plug/USB A dongle for recharging; I would prefer a USB C, B or a more easily replaceable non-proprietary interface. I generally do not do reviews, but this is one product that is designed and performs as advertised. Since I prefer not to use a smartphone (using a flip phone on the go with a tablet around the house), the Mighty has proved perfect for the gym and running. Simple and it works. UPDATE: I have found that with the Studio Beats the Mighty intermittently fails to automatically launch the next track which can be pain while on a treadmill. The Beats Studio Buds (an Apple product) required an Android app to pair with the Android 13 tablet that runs the Spotify and feeds my Mighty. Using the Trekz or using a plug-in headphone works absolutely without fail. The manufacturer should target this for a software fix.

Too many glitchy issues. Not ready for prime time.
Lots to say here. The good: It's small, has simple but adequate button controls and decent battery life. Holds a lot of music. Now for the bad: downloading playlists takes a very long time, even with a quality high-speed connection. The device has to sync to the source, Spotify, or Amazon music, and then download the playlists. But the syncing sessions can be quite unstable and you have to restart the syncing process repeatedly. It can literally take several hours to download a playlist of 150 songs. Sometimes, the sync process would fail, and you would have to start all over. Once I finally got the music I wanted on the player, several other problems emerged. The player has an issue when exposed to sunlight (mfg. is aware of this issue), which can cause it to playback with varying speeds so that it sounds like listening to chipmunks. I was told by the company that this can be resolved but putting a small strip of duct tape on one of the sides of the device. Not an acceptable solution for the price of the device. Another problem is that the player would just start skipping during playback, which sounded like a CD with lots of scratches. Sometimes the Mighty would just freeze up and none of the controls would respond. A couple of times I couldn't even turn it off. Eventually functionality returned to normal. Another issue is that connectivity to Bluetooth devices is very limited. I have some favorite headphones and a Bluetooth speaker I could never got to connect. I did get it to connect to another amplified speaker. Also, it would not connect to any vehicle stereo systems. To play it in my truck I had to use an audio cable connected to the device's headphone jack and my truck's aux jack. The other vehicle did not have a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack so there was no way for me to listen in that vehicle through the sound system. On another occasion, while I was using corded headphones, the functionality went wacky and the volume went all the way up on it's own, hurting my ears. I did get some help from company support by email, which is kind of awkward and time consuming as you have to wait for them to get to your email and send a response. There is no phone help available. The idea of the product is great, but it just has way too many issues. I returned mine for a refund. Hopefully, with customer feedback the Mighty co. will improve the product in later versions.

A bit fiddly to start with but once set up it is a great screen free music player
I found this quite hard to set up but I think it was more to do with my internet connection. It took a while to connect (one evening, several hours) but eventually was connected to the bluetooth speaker and the playlists synced. Now it is a brilliant little music player that I take everywhere- I love that it is screen free.

Surprisingly good.
I followed the development of this product for some time, finally got one for my mom and she loves it. Super easy to setup and use, and we have had no issues with it. Works awesome with Bluetooth headphones and an older android phone. Wish they told you what Bluetooth codecs it uses but their support channel never responds to anything. Does what it's advertised to do and is the only device in its category so I do recommend it!
