In-service for 3 months now without issue - Household 50G Water Heater
Let me start with --- The effort was worth it $$. The easy part... Adding this device to the power feed at the water heater. My electrician friend had it installed in about 10 min. The interesting not so easy part -- Connection to the network and programming. - I struggled to connect to the network - This only connects to 2.4G, and I could not find it on my network. - I created a 2.4G and 5G mode and was able to find it and connected. - Programming took me a bit of time, but not too bad. I now have a weekday and weekend schedule and easily turn off the “On” part of the schedule to leave it off while on trips. Turn the schedule back on before I get home, remotely! :-) I have not had one issue with this smart switch since I got it running. My biggest upfront issue was the 2.4G connection. If you already have a visible 2.4G/5G network, your setup will be easier. You need to have a 2.4G Wi-Fi signal where this switch will be installed.

nice product
This is an awesome little switch, it was exactly what i wanted and needed, this thing works like a charm, once you figure out that it really is a double pole switch that is 240volts, 120 volts on each leg, your good to go. see the problem is that they label the contacts L and N which in the real world is line voltage and neutral, it should be labeled L1 and L2 because both the load terminals make or break with this switch, so it is very suitable for breaking both legs of 240volt circuit. what gave me the hint was the little motor symbols on each terminal. their description isn't as clear as it could be. you can also use this for 120volts, in which the neutral leg would also break, it hooked up easily to my router, but needs to be guided to the 2.4 gz of a daul or tri band router, once that is done, awesome switch.

Does what it should!
I installed this on my furnace power in place of the toggle switch and connected to wifi so I could cut the power power to furnace if I had indication of any malfunction (based on my smart thermostat data) while away. Problem that prompted me to do this was a sticking inducer relay on control board causing the inducer to run after heat signal was removed, preventing furnace from firing up the next time heat was called for. Since this switch relay coil is always energized for my need to provide power to the furnace, the switch is slightly warm, but not of any concern. Time will tell if this reduces life of this device. As an aside, I fixed my control board problem by swapping the ignitor relay (resistive load) and the inducer relay (a motor-inductive load) and have not had any sticking issues for the past month of frequent furnace operation.

Fire hazard at 240V 30A
Burnt out after 1-2 uses. I bought another one thinking that maybe there was a metal contact that caused it to short or something. Second one also died after 1-2 uses while remaining in open air, not enclosed. DO NOT BUY FOR 240V 30A USAGE.

Great for automating landscape lighting
We had an old mechanical clock driven switch for the landscape lights. As days get shorter or longer it was a hassle having to manually go and change the little screws. I removed the clocks snd installed this instead. Now the landscape lights are controlled by Alexa and turn on 20 minutes before sunset, whenever that is and off at midnight. Note that in USA for tis to be code, it will need to br installed inside a box. The box needs to br plastic, otherwise wifi will not connect.

Instructions are total crap.
I got it working, but the instructions were total crap. Item #1 instruction was to Power off, and a picture of something. I thought is was trying to show/tell me to open the item and turn something off. I opened the item, even though the picture looked as if you were supposed to slide a cover or something. I saw nothing like this. I concluded that it was trying to depict a breaker box of some sort. Maybe China has different breaker boxes then I have seen. My breaker was already off and tested, so I moved on. Step two was wiring. It only had instructions for 110 wiring, but I remembered seeing a diagram when I ordered it that was 220 as I wanted. I went back to my order page, looked at the 220 and wired it that way. Pairing it was not at all as described in the instructions. I downloaded and installed the eWeLink app, and tried to follow the instructions and looked for the blue pairing light that was not there. It was a green light, and tried to figure out what "keeps on once to enter pairing mode" meant. After several attempts, I was able to get it to work, but I cannot tell you exactly what I did. The screen in the app hung up several times, and the device was identified by different names on different attempts, but I got one to work. Bottom line, you might be able to get it to work as I did, but then again you may not. I was able to integrate it into Google Home, as I wanted, but it was not an easy process.

Compact and easy setup.
Very compact, fits inside a 2-gang outlet box with enough rooms for the incoming and outgoing circuits. Also easy to set up. The only thing to watch out for is the terminals are very tightly positioned. Need to use crimped spade terminals as terminal design not suitable for direct termination of #10 AWG wires.

Burnt out within minutes
Dangerous. I should have taken note of the poor reviews - definitely did not handle anything close to 30amps. Burnt out after a few minutes use, this could have been a real concern if I had not been in the right place at the right time.
