Good Stuff! I hooked this up to my Dewalt thickness planer and it works perfectly. I like that it is clear so I can see any obstructions in the dust flow without taking it off. The quality of the build is sturdy and thick. I do not see any issues with this breaking or falling apart. It maintains its sturdiness while remaining very flexible. Very pleased with this purchase.

This is a high quality PVC hose to be used (for most people) in shop applications, particularly dust control. It probably has other uses that can be considered, but that's the application for me. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it originally, but have been absolutely pleased with the quality and long term reliability it's provided. I maintain a relatively small and mobile wood shop and use various slip fittings to attach this hose to my 4" ducts on both my jointer and planer. On the other end, I reduce it down to 2.5" to make it compatible with my shop vac based dust collection system that includes a Dust Deputy. Overall, the solution has worked out perfectly for my needs and has held up for the better part of two years now. Even with relentless fan-assisted particle ejection from my planer, the hose holds up to whatever I throw at it. I recommend this hose...should provide many years of service!

I ordered this 4" dust collection hose for my DW735 Planer. It is just what I needed. The material is thick enough to handle chip ejection form the planer and It is flexible enough to be maneuvered around to plumb into my dust collection fitting. Very happy with my purchase. 10/10 recommend.

My shop is in a very, very bright loft. Just about everying in the shop slowly gets sun damaged, and this hose is no exception. It has performed well for about two years, but the ends are starting to deteriorate with the wire emerging from its housing. I use it daily as the intake and exit hose on a Thien baffle dust collector, with the exit blowing out a window. The extra sun exposure at the window definitely deteriorated that portion of the hose faster than the intake. I'll be buying it again for sure once the one I have fully crumbles to dust.

It’s nice and flexible works well with My surface planer

I have a straw blower that needed a new hose. I wasn’t sure that this would work for that application but figured that I would give it a try anyway because the hoses that I had found that were advertised as a straw blower hose were 5x the price. This hose is almost identical to the original hose other than it seems to be a bit thicker and higher quality. I am extremely happy with this product!

I designed a dust collection system and used this hose as the main line. Very well made , flexed easily with next to no kinking. Was very easy to cut with a razor knife and wire snips. It expands and contacts well as the vacuum is turned on and off. If you need a quality hose buy this one with confidence

I used this to make a redneck dust collector for my planer. I connect one end to the planer and run the other end across the table to the collector that is near the door. I probably filter 97% of the sawdust that is created by the planer and can then dump it at my convenience. Powertec was just the right size and sturdy enough to attach to the planer and collector.

Quality product. Well worth the money

So I have bough 2 of these now. My intension was to be able to connect to my dust collector and use as a Vacume hose. Well it is in fact 20 feet at full stretch but under suction it wants to be 10 feet…not kidding…so a got a second and joined the two. Perfect…next my wife made me this 40 ft log sleave out of an old shower curtain. Its now got some real protection from draging it on my cement floor. The material is anchored at each and and it just bunches up with the hose when not in use. I dont have a pic, but if I can add later to my review I will do that. Only 1 thing and no big deal…but one hose had a slightly larger ID then the other…Oh also…the banding my second one had on it actually permanently distorted the hose in a few places…thats a bummer..,
