Thick leather and long gauntlet make this excellent for tending a campfire
For years, I've been using leather gloves from my local hardware store for working around the house and for manipulating campfires. With campfires, it's always been dash in, try to move the ... quickly and dash out, often with my wife or friends warning that I'm going to get burned. The leather on these gloves is at least twice as my work gloves and the gloves come up almost to my elbow. I've moved logs with red hot coals without feeling the heat. I haven't held them long but much longer than with any other glove I've used. Very nice.Nitpicking - for my use, grey leather would have been better. These are so pretty when you get them, then you move some coals and get ash on them.

Still going strong after a year of cutting wood and loading a wood burning outdoor furnace
I've been using these gloves to cut wood, load wood onto a trailer, unloading the wood, and further loading the wood into an outdoor wood furnace since the winter of 2020 and so far the winter of 2021. Pretty much some of the rougher conditions you could probably use them for, and they have held up great. I have to stick my arms briefly in the furnace to adjust logs sometimes, up to my elbow or so (I always have a jacket on too), and even when grabbing parts of the log that are red-hot, these don't cause any heat transfer as long as I'm not holding it longer than maybe 2-3 seconds. On the inside of one of the finger holes for the glove, a small tear developed last year on the fabric lining, but it did not extend to the outside of the glove. This is only an issue if you get the gloves wet, which last year I was doing regularly because I was cutting wood in the snow sometimes. I quickly learned my lesson though, and made sure to cut wood for this year, last year. No more cutting wood in the snow.Overall I am satisfied and happy with these gloves. If you are looking for gloves to use when cutting and loading wood into a furnace, these are great options. I bought a pair of "RAPICCA 16 Inches,932℉, Leather Forge/Mig/Stick Welding Gloves Heat/Fire Resistant, Mitts for Oven/Grill/Fireplace/Furnace/Stove/Pot Holder/Tig Welder/Mig/BBQ/Animal handling glove with 16 inches Extra Long Sleeve–Blue" on Amazon a couple months ago, and they already have a HUGE rip in the inner hand part of one of the gloves, about 3" long or more and quickly coming apart further. The Rapicca gloves have a longer "sleeve", but that's about the only positive.

Great Gloves
Very comfortable gloves. I bought two from this brand. I'm using it for fireplace and to moved the wood. If you need heat resistance gloves difinetely buy the black one. I tried to put glowing charcoal in this gloves and do not feel hot in my hands. The yellow and black colors very comfortable but is not heat resistance. You can still put this gloves in around the fireplace but I prefered the black one. Customer service from the seller is a world class. They did reply to your message in one business day. Will buy this gloves again for sure....

Oven mits and Welding
I just bough a second pair of these to use as oven mits! I was tiered of my kitchen aid oven mits burning me and causing me to rush to get things set down. With these, i can take hot things out of the oven and take my time safely putting them down. I also have another pair i use for mig and stick welding. They are awesome! With enough dexterity and heat resistance. I use those for campfires too when i need to grab burning wood or coals to stoke the fire real quick. Great gloves!

Well-made and truly heat resistant
RARELY does an item meet the advertised features and benefits. I would have to say though that this product even exceeded my expectations. We use it in heating with a wood stove. The literally fit like a "glove" (pun intended) not sloppy and oversized making it difficult to handle objects. They are extremely well insulated not only very soft to the touch on the inside, but more importantly they truly protect from the heat. They were well worth the investment and am considering purchasing a second pair.

Work well for one season
Use them for our wood stove. Very comfy. Worked well for the one season. We're now in March and the tips of the fingers are starting to get too hot too quickly. Will have to buy another pair for next winter.
