After several searches I found this to be the perfect ironing board for the steam generator iron we had purchased. It has an infinite range of height adjustment that both my wife -who is 9inches shorter than me - and myself find a doddle to set up with a well designed and stable frame. Unlike nearly all the other ironing boards, the tray with guard rail for the steam generator iron to be placed on is retractable meaning that this Laurastar is easier to store than its rivals when folded. The mesh ironing surface and bespoke cover makes ironing easy with no wet patches on the cover even after an hour of ironing. Though dearer than its rivals, it nevertheless is very good value for money

I have ordered this ironing board base on customer reviews. Before that, I looked at other ironing boards in shops and online but none of them were near as good as this one. It cost much more than the other retailers's ironing boards but its worth it. Wide, long, sturdy and well made. Great for ironing bed linen as well as smaller pieces. Every time I use it I am happy that I have chosen this one over all other cheap ones. I highly recommend it. Justyna

The media could not be loaded. might work if stood on a deep pile carpet. It's inherently unstable. Such a shame. Expected much better at this price.

Bought this for my daughter as wanted a sturdy product, she loves it and it is a decent weight so feels sturdy and strong and lovely to iron on.

Great ironing board, the best I ever had

This states the length as 120cm, which made me think it would fit in my attic cupboard. However, that’s the length of the ironing surface (actually 122cm, excluding the iron rest), and the folded length is near 160cm - it’s huge. Too huge unless you’re ironing curtains or something in industrial quantities. only for people with a lot of room, a whole lot of ironing and a strong back.

I thought buying a good quality board would improve the experience. Needless to say I am an idiot, I still hate ironing no matter how well build and engineered your Laurastar Ironing board is...Ps - Don't buy this for your wife as a birthday present, she won't put out... #lifelesson
