Works On Electrolux Hand Iron with 1500W
Works Fine with 1500w Electrolux hand iron; after 15 minute break get quite hot and we have to cool it down; otherwise on easy loads this break is perfect; everything works fine; no issues with adapter or converter mode; Note: we use this regularly as a converter for 1500w Electrolux Hand Iron; Holds well;

Decent all in one option
This works as well as my previous ones did before they broke. My biggest complaint about these travel convertors, though, is that they are always so bulky and often heavy while almost every wall socket I've ever plugged them into in India etc has very loose contacts in the socket. So the heft of these units ends up making them hang half way in/out of the outlet. Someone needs to make a universal adapter cord that's maybe 3 or 4 feet, which plugs into the convertor unit if you need the power to actually be converted, else plugs into your device directly. That would relieve the majority of the weight on these crappy sockets.Other than that, which is not a nit specific to this convertor but everyone I'd found to date, this seems reasonably well made and is a little more compact than others I've tried. It gets the job done and that's the number one concern so I can't ding it too much.

Universal Adapter-Converter
Travelling elsewhere (outside of US) needs such a Universal Adapter-Converter that can be operative in most foreign countries in the world.Be aware of its two modes, though. Depending on the operative input voltage of US made electrical items you may need to select either Converter or Adapter mode. Say for example, most laptops, cameras, iPads, USB ports that powers Smartphones, Smart Watches that typically work in dual voltages of 120V or 240V, you need "Adapter" mode. Else, only a few US made brand items like hair dryers, tea-makers, irons, etc. (that doesn't draw much power only) needs "Converter" mode to convert foreign voltage down to 120V. Though it is designed with overcurrent, overvoltage, and short circuit protection, but still be aware of what can and can't operate with it.Extremely required item if you are planning to visit other countries.

Perfect for UK travel
Ordered this to take with me on my trip to Scotland. It worked really well but the only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the weight of it. A bit bulky/heavy but was able to plug my devices into them without issue.

Versatile
This adapter gives you a lot of options for international travel--it supports such a huge list of countries that it would probably be easier to list what it does NOT support. I was interested in support for the Middle East, EU, and India, and I'm covered there.There are so many different configurations that it can be a bit confusing to figure out which to use. You'll also want to read the directions carefully to understand what they mean by "adapter" and "converter." This device will step down 220V for US110V when you're using it with a blow dryer, but you need to use "adapter" mode for charging phones and other electronics.Two small issues: First, the switch system this power brick uses doesn't really "snap" into place and stay put--you can jostle against it and switch it in the wrong direction. Also, it would be nice if it supported USB-C as well as USB-A; as it stands, you'll need to bring a USB-C adapter to use it with most modern devices.Recommended.

Plug design wobbly, connection not stable
Unfortunately I haven’t even been able to tell if this product works because it cannot maintain a tight connection in the sockets (EU adapter) where I am. The block is too heavy for how much the pin part extends out.

Apparently, you need this if you are going to travel overseas and have to deal with a different electrical system. You get a little cube with four different shaped plugs on it depending on what country you are in. You can then use it in converter mode or in adapter mode for charging USB devices. You slide a little button down next to the type of plug you want to use. The plug locks into place when the button slides to the bottom.The plugs are labeled for USA, Australia, Europe and UK. The front is a US style outlet. Then it gets confusing. You have to use adapter mode to charge with a USB cord, but the back says it does NOT convert voltage. Does that mean you can only charge your 5 V USB devices in the USA? There is a little button you slide to switch between adapter and converter. There are two USB ports.There seems to be a very narrow range of products you can plug in. You can plug in single and dual voltage appliances in adapter mode but no electronics. You can't step down voltage on the dual controlled ones that you use in converter mode. You can't plug in low wattage appliances that are 0-25 watts. The instruction brochure, which is a tiny, folded paper is written in poor English, making this even more confusing.It says it isn't grounded, and then that you need to use a double insulated appliance. They don't give examples of what they are talking about. Maybe it will make more sense if I do an internet search of how to use adapters overseas.
