It's not aggressive enough to take heavy wiskers off without going over them 5-10 times, which kills the blades. The protective leading edge bar doesn't allow the longer wiskers to stand up enough to cut close to the skin. It needs fingers instead of that bar, and it would greatly improve its performance. If you have finer wiskers, or shave every day, this would be fantastic. Just not for those of us with tree trunks for facial hair. I'm still going to use it, I just don't love it as much as I had hoped I would. If they make a more aggressive version, I'd be VERY interested in it. Full disclosure, I have been shaving with a shavette style strait razor for about 4 years, so I'm used to the blade not being able to ride up over the wiskers like this does. Update: I've found that you need a more aggressive razor blade with this. Feather or others that are known for being almost to aggressive make a HUGE difference. In fact, since I don't need to go over the same spot so often, and I don't need to be as aggressive wuth the whole razor, I get almost no nicks anymore. I still believe that it needs fingers instead of the bar across the leading edge, but it's still a good razor.
