The best string s
These are quite honestly the best strings I’ve ever tried. Their sound is amazing and they feel so smooth under the fingers. They last longer than most strings too, very durable. The appearance is great. Good to see cardboard packaging instead of plastics. Overall performance is fantastic. Great sounding and would highly recommend.

Vintage Tone Heaven
O.k. There are some guitar tones that you hear and you'd love to replicate them with your own gear. But nothing quite reaches the mark..........until I discovered these guitar strings.......Defining tone is a almost an impossible job. However here's my attempt. The tone I was after was Keith Richards with his telecaster on later Stones albums and with the Xpensive Winos. Or Pete Townshend with his EC stratocaster with the gold lace sensor pick ups in Live 8. How do you describe their tone? Very rich - warm - nicotine stained sustain - almost a buzz. Vintage. Expensive. So through time have bought a strat and fitted gold lace sensor pick ups. Bought telecaster and fitted Seymour Duncan Broadcaster bridge pick up. Both guitars with this set up sound fanstastic through a fender blues deluxe amp....but still not quite there. BECAUSE STRINGS ARE MASSIVELY IMPORTANT TO TONE.Then gave these strings a try. These strings have given me the icing on the cake to what was a already two great sounding guitars. These strings with this gauge have given me THE EXACT TONE I was after as described in previous sentences.Brilliant strings with warmth and ringing sustain. They are the best I have ever fitted on any of my guitar collection - with 26 years experience of doing so. Very happy. If you want the above type tones - many people do - you MUST give these a try.

Great sound, easy to play.
I've used round-core strings for many years - Thomastik Infeld, Pyramid, Newtone and DR.I think that they sound more musical than hex-core strings (could be my imagination of course) and whatever gauge I'm using, they feel like one gauge lighter. Just easier to fret and bend. Great on my 2003 Les Paul. They're a bit more hassle to fit and they cost more because they're "hand-made". DR strings are the most affordable of the ones I use. I used to import them directly from the USA where they are incredibly cheap but shipping costs outweigh the low-prices and delivery is slow. So, I got this last batch from the UK-based Guitar Gear Pro on Amazon and got a great price & free next-day delivery.

Good so far
Helped tame the ice pick tonal qualities of an Ash & Maple guitar that used to make me wince that I now enjoy playing. The strings are 50% more expensive than other brands but do have a vintage vibe about them, only you can decide if that is "value". Definitely consider this string if you are looking for a nice warm sound that also cuts through.I've used DR Bass strings for many years, they always sound great and last twice as long on the bass as certain other more hip brands. Not had these guitar strings long enough to comment on sting life.

Perfect strings
From the moment I put these strings on they felt amazing and that was before I stretched them in. The tone is fantastic and string bending is spot on. These will be my go to set from now on. I have a tele style guitar from gear4music which plays as good as an expensive one. If you love your blues buy these, you'll not be disappointed.

Short life.
One of the wound strings started fraying at the frets within a couple of weeks. The tone, which started very nicely, also went dead. Maybe I got a bad batch but I wouldn't buy them again.

Decent strings, definitely worth a try
The do have a distinct tone. They play a little too dry for me. Durability for me was above average. I own 7 guitars and play 2-4 hours every day. Had them on for 3 weeks and only took them of because I was finished playing with the drier tone. I will most likely buy these again but bump up a couple sizes, to see if the extra meat takes the dryness out.
