A Must-Have Kitchen Tool!
I recently purchased the Swing A Way Easy Crank Can Opener, and it has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen tools! This heavy-duty, ergonomic handheld can opener is a game changer for anyone who frequently opens canned goods. The design is fantastic. The large handle provides a comfortable grip, making it easy to turn, even for extended periods. I love that it feels sturdy and well-built, which is essential for commercial use. It has handled everything from small cans to larger ones without any issues. What I appreciate most is how effortlessly it opens cans. No more struggling with manual can openers that require excessive force; this one does the job smoothly and efficiently. The blade cuts cleanly, leaving no sharp edges, which is a significant safety feature.Overall, I highly recommend the Swing A Way Easy Crank Can Opener for anyone looking for a reliable, efficient can opener. Whether for home or commercial use, it’s a fantastic investment that will make your cooking experience much more enjoyable!

The Cadillac of Can Openers!!
this is the one!!seriously, this is THE manual can opener that you need to have for when the electric can opener is on the frisk or the power is off!!i've tried a lot of different can openers and let me tell you, they are not the same!!some even made me almost lose my religion!!but the Swing-A-Way Easy-Crank Can Opener is the smoothest manual opener with the least wear and tear on your hands and wrist.just one bit of advice, if you use it everyday (like i do), it would help to spray a bit of WD40 on the blade after you clean it from each use to keep the blade from rusting.i've bought several of these and wouldn't ever buy any other can opener!!this one has spoiled me!!

Extra torque for older hands
This is a very handy can opener! It is the swing away can opener of my teenage years upgraded, with a longer handle and a convenient knob that can be folded out of the way. If you're one of those people who cannot operate the simple T handle of the original swing way can opener, this is your answer. It will open virtually any can that requires a can opener and does so effortlessly. Cleaning a simple, I'll rinse it off under really hot water and set it off to the side. The one thing you should not do with these can openers, is soap them. The water gets into the sleeve bearings and eventually messes up the can opener. Rinse and release. That's all you need to do. Great value for the money highly recommended, I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Don't have to exert much effort to easily open a can manually.
The only problem is that the opener takes up so much space in my kitchen drawer that I put it in a utensil caddy instead. Also, I noticed 2 months after I bought it that the can opener is now rusted. I've never had a manual can opener rust before.

Not as advertised!
Not as advertised! This is not an original Swing a way can opener. It is absolute junk. Only worked well for about 3 months. Just long enough to not be able to return it.

This thing is the bomb!
Purchased this for our church kitchen. We had a function and needed to open 96 cans in a hurry. (The last function we attempted this we used just an electric opener and burnt it up!) Used this and also an electric can opener this time as I was a little skeptical. This crank opener actually worked faster than the electric opener. The swing-away handle makes it so much easier to operate than a traditional hand opener. Not sure what the longevity will be - but hoping it will last awhile because it is awesome so far. Told the person helping me I was going to buy one for my house and he asked me to order him one as well!

Good, sturdy can opener
I waited to write a review till I had owned and used this can opener for a couple of weeks, and I am very happy with it. This can opener is The Boss. I have a lot of giant cans of food storage that have been around for fifty years, heavy duty #10 cans. (Prepping isn’t as recent as it seems—my parents were reacting to the Cold War, and food packed for storage was available to buy fifty years ago. But it didn’t all get eaten.). Nowadays, I’m older than the food, and get tendonitis in my hands, so I needed something that would open these huge cans so I can empty and recycle them. This can opener does the trick—it handles the heavy duty cans as easily as my regular can opener handles a tuna can. It does take practice to use it effectively—make sure your can is resting on a flat surface and crank slowly until you get the feel of it. But with a little practice, it works perfectly and without straining my fingers and hands.
