Bought this for my wife's birthday. She has had several branded fitness trackers that just don't last, so when her last one died, just before her birthday, I decided to get her this.Right out of the box it looked and felt like a completely different class to her previous smartwatch/trackers. It looks and feels like the high-quality product you'd expect from Apple. It was very simple to set up and sync with her iPhone. The app is easy to navigate and use, all the stats she needs are there and easy to access. It's the first time I've seen her completely happy with a fitness tracker (yes, we know it's capable of so much more, but this is what's most important to her). I'm sure she's only just scratched the surface of what it can do, but what it does she's very impressed with. The only negative she's mentioned is the short battery life, it needs charging almost every day. But then, given how much it does compared to other smartwatches and trackers, it shouldn't be a surprise.

I bought this watch after I dropped my series 3 and cracked the screen. Was torn between buying an SE version and an iwatch9 but really glad I spent the extra money. The always on function is great and saves you flipping your wrist all the time and the larger screen size is really noticeable when you compare the two. Lots of excellent health monitoring apps and a range of faces and complications make it look great too. Setup was quick and easy and I’ve kept my old watch as a spare - they are both still connected to my phone and it automatically switches between whichever I am wearing which is great. Charging is really fast; optimized for 80% but you can easily override this if you’re out for the day and want full charge. My only deliberation was on the strap. I’d previously had the sports band and wasn’t sure on the fabric loop. Having said that after a few days wear, the fabric loop is much more comfortable and easily adjustable. Also means you’re not likely to drop it taking it off. It doesn’t quite look as professional for work however so I purchased a leather strap to swap for then! Buy it, you won’t regret it.

I recently converted back to Apple after using Android for years and years. I needed to switch over to the Apple ecosystem so replaced my garmin watch and it is SO much nicer. The UI is slick and it displays all my notifications conveniently without having to check my phone. My only gripe with the watch is the battery life. At a push I can get 2 days without having to charge it again, whereas my garmin watch I was able to last just over a week before it needed to be plugged in. I guess it's because the amount of times the watch turns on due to notifications and the amount more you can do with the phone. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase.

I'm not the fanboy type and don't buy products based on brand names, yet somehow I have ended up with an Apple Watch 9, an iPhone and AirPods. This is just because they are all exceptional pieces of kit which work flawlessly together in that typical Apple way.The watch is light and comfortable to wear. I haven't worn a watch for years but the sports band is softer than I expected so I soon forgot I was wearing the Apple watch. I also like the Starlight colour of the strap, which matches the casing. You can customise the watch's face colours to suit your style and can also select analogue or digital time and quick access icons to the functions you use most.The design is elegant and the watch is easy to use despite having a small screen. It has given me tonnes of useful health information I never knew I wanted or needed, but I'm genuinely surprised at how much of an impact that has had on my life.The only negative I have found with the Apple Watch 9 is that it ideally needs to be charged daily. That's fine given its capabilities and constant use, but despite this being a premium product, Apple no longer includes a charging adapter. This is apparently to reduce waste 'for the benefit of the planet'. In my opinion, this is nonsense because a charger is necessary to use the product, and by not including them in the box, Apple is making unnecessary additional shipments of standalone charging products, in extra packaging that wouldn't otherwise be needed. They do include a 'wireless' Magsafe charging pad (with a wire on it!) that needs to plug into a USB-C charger - ideally the Apple 20W one unless you don't mind waiting longer for it to charge.
