I’ve only used it for 2weeks but it works great. It’s hooked to a hose bib which is awkward to access so it’s great to be able to control remotely from my phone. I’ve noticed that if I’m not in the room where the hub is plugged in to a wall outlet, my phone sometimes has trouble making a connection with it but that’s a minor issue. I like that I get messages when it turns on and off, and for those notifications it seems the phone location doesn’t matter. I also have several older Orbit timer controls which have worked great but don’t have remote control.

I’ve used a watering timer for our garden for years. It gives peace of mind knowing the garden is watered. But there have been times it’s being watered while it’s raining. The B-hyve watering timer is connected to the internet and I can turn it on or off by my phone, and change the watering schedule. Best is their customer service which patiently addressed all questions I had. Initially customer service was by AI. When asked if there was anything else I wanted I responded “customer service” and immediately a “real person” was on the chat helping. Their wide range of products includes sensing when my garden needs watering and does it, rather than using an “ every other day” approach which I’m using now. Cool.

Extremely disappointing experience with Orbit. I expected better from a reputable brand, but this product is defective and fails to connect to the advertised 2.4 GHz Wi Fi. The unit only connects to the App via Bluetooth—not the internet—which defeats its entire purpose. You must be physically near the device to control it, making remote watering (the main reason I bought it) impossible. Technical support was effectively useless, and the setup process felt unnecessarily complex, incomplete, inadequate, and incapable of resolving the problem. Unless you’re willing to spend hours troubleshooting it (and I do not guarantee it will help at all), this product is simply not worth the effort. To make matters worse, I purchased it for use while traveling, but since I’m now out of the country, returning it isn’t feasible due to the short return window. In the end, I had to resort to a basic timer and even pay someone to manage watering manually—something this product was supposed to eliminate. Save your money and your time—there are far better, less frustrating ways of wasiting you $ 83.

This works very well. HINT: use the app to set it up, not the printed insert. I've bought 2 already.

Overall the hub and controllers work well. They are not very user friendly getting setup. Had to uninstall and install one of the controllers three times cause it kept giving me the buffer wheel FOREVER!

Great product. It’s super easy to install, the app is easy to use, and it easily installs to any water tap in the yard. I will use this for years to come.

Great concept. Worked well for 6 weeks. Then lost internet connection. No warning provided. We did not know that it stopped getting weather data and adjusting the over night watering schedule as needed, until we saw it watering in the rain September 21. Diagnosed and realized it failed to water during draught snd watered during rain since first week in August. Very expensive for a watering system that is not smart and cannot be controlled remotely.

I use these items for watering our landscaping plants. This makes my fourth device for watering plants. I have three for our home at the city and bought this one for our place at the farm. I make sure the plants are watered anywhere Im at. If it was set for a rain delay and it didn't rain I can select manual watering. I can create more than one schedule as well.

Can't use it? Surely people read the country of destination??? They sent me a US plug adapter for the hub??? Bloody useless for me?????

So happy with this unit! The set up took only a few minutes, and it worked perfectly right off the bat. I love being able to control it from my phone. I will be purchasing more of these!

Used only a couple times.so far. Easy to setup. So far so good. I would buy again.

This came with US style plug, I don't understand why. I can't use it now.
