High quality and very big!

Due to its thickness I bought the chopping board to turn into a work surface over a recently installed boiler. It required the minimum modification to do so and I am very pleased with the result.

Split along join after only 1 wash despite following manufacturer guidelines. Contacted zwilling who accept no responsibility despite warranty. Appalling!

I liked the size and price of these boards, which I used as shelves in a HiFi rack I was constructing. They are very rigid and were ideal for the intended purpose.

It’s a heavy board with plastic holders but nonetheless didn’t hold long - had a crack from humidity .

This is big - mighty big in fact. Worth doing your measurements before buying. 2 people can do separate cutting/chopping etc tasks simultaneously. It’s also heavy - I mean really heavy, so not useful to keep picking up and scraping things off unless you happen to be an Olympic weight lifter. But it is a thing of great beauty to sit permanently on a kitchen work surface or table. It has its own ‘feet’, so not for turning over for different tasks/presentation. It does not have grooves, which I initially thought was a downside (but buying a smaller board for carving meat with grooves answers that criticism - eg the Kitchen Craft ‘industrial’ butcher’s block, also highly recommended). This is a really solid, well-made and impressive - not to mention beautiful - bit of kit, which is highly recommended. NB it is untreated so you need to rub in some mineral oil before use (3/4 times I found as it seemed ‘thirsty’). Overall, we are thrilled to bits with this purchase. Expensive? Yes, but worth every penny...
