Works great if you don’t have a hood and replace your oven/stove and there aren’t many options for downdraft models avail. Only other alternative was to find a portable hood. Had a collection cup for oil. So far does what it should.

After I went to Korea I was looking for one of these and ordered this. It was cheaper than Home Depot for the same exact product and had more color options. I have used this for hot pot Korean bbq shabu shabu fried rice, it works very well. The smell after cooking disappears about a hour or two after I open windows as before we were not able to do it cuz of the smoke and steam. I didn’t even want to try. Very easy to turn on and plug in. Noise level is loud but you can still talk to the person next to you and across from you. Love the cool down mode as well. Fantastic product.

We use this portable hood whenever we do K-BBQ or sear steaks indoors. For something this small, it pulls in a lot more oil and smoke than I expected. The filter and oil cup actually catch a noticeable amount of grease, and the airflow is strong enough to keep our smoke alarm from going off during heavier cooking sessions. Without it, indoor BBQ would be a mess. Just be realistic about what it can and can’t do. It’s not going to capture everything—there’s still some smoke and grease that escape, especially when you’re cooking at high heat or have multiple burners going. That’s just the limitation of any tabletop unit. The aluminum filter is easy to remove and clean, and the oil cup fills slowly enough that you’re not constantly emptying it. Noise level is about what you’d expect from a small exhaust fan—not silent, but manageable. Pros: Actually, reduces smoke enough to prevent false fire alarms Catches a good amount of grease Easy-to-clean filter and oil collection cup Makes indoor K-BBQ or steak nights a lot more tolerable Cons: Can’t capture all smoke/oil (don’t expect a wall-mounted hood’s performance) Airflow is decent but not strong enough for very heavy cooking sessions Only two fan speeds Bottom line: Not perfect, but genuinely useful if you want to grill or sear indoors without filling your place with smoke. It does enough to justify the space and cost.

I don't even trust a wall mounted hood to catch all of the smoke and be cleaned completely. And a wall mounted hood is loud! So this little machine is quiet. I had to make sure it is running. It's the buyer's job to make sure the smoking surface does not greatly exceed the hood's diameter, a limitation for any kind of hood. So, make sure your smoking surface is not more than 7". That's the true limitation for this machine. Otherwise, if you diligently follow the cleaning instruction and clean the filters every time you use it, it's a machine that works great: (1) You see that the filters are greasy (2) There is oil deposit in the cup (I didn't expect as much oil deposit as it managed to gather). For a 7" pan or pot, I think it works better than a wall mounted hood probably because you can place it very close to the smoking surface.

The unit is quite loud, even on the lower fan setting. Unfortunately, the filter does not seem to work effectively. There is noticeable oil buildup on the back of the fan, indicating that grease is not being properly trapped. Additionally, the oil collection cup is poorly designed; it's difficult to remove and even harder to clean. While the concept is good for small indoor setups, the overall functionality and maintenance issues make it hard to recommend.

The product is ok. Helps, but it’s not a solution. It does not suck in all the odor. You still get some smoke and smell around the house. You really need to put it to the max, and leave it really close to the pan to get some result.

I'm enjoying my portable range. It is lightweight, it’s odor removal, high and low speed & you can place it anywhere on your range I your kitchen. For 50 years I used factory placed hood range but this is just as good. I love it! Oh yeah, I got my sister to buy one and she loves it.

If you don’t have a vent or fan at the top of your stove, you need to get this item now! This item helps with smell and smoke mitigation. It’s compact where it doesn’t take too much space on the counter and it is easy to clean. 10/10 recommend for small areas and spaces.

Loud noise

Der Dunstabzug ist perfekt für uns, aufgrund von zu niedrig hängender Kästen über dem Herd und keiner Steckdose in der Nähe, haben wir uns für diese mobile Dunstabzughaube entschieden und ich bin begeistert. Die Saugleistung ist extrem stark auch auf Stufe 1 und man kann genau so 2 Pfannen hinstellen und die Absaugung funktioniert trozdem einwandfrei und saugt von beiden Pfannen auf. Ebenso ist der Dunstabzug meiner Meinung nach sogar recht leise. Wasser sammelt sich ebenso im Behälter und dieser ist einfach auszubauen und zu reinigen. Etwas aufpassen muss man mit Gewürzen (z.B. Paprikapuler, Curry, etc.), diese werden auch gerne angesaugt, wenn die Haube direkt neben steht, da wie oben gesagt die Saugleistung extrem Stark ist. Ist aber für mich kein Minuspunkt, das zeigt wie toll das Produkt ist. Einzig in der Anleitung lässt sich nicht ganz Erläutern ob der Polyamidfilter jedes mal getauscht werden muss, oder ob nach jeder Verwendung auswaschen reicht. Zu den Ersatzfiltern hab ich auch eine Rezension geschrieben, diese haben mich nicht überzeugt

Works on gas stoves also. If you fry meat such as making hamburgers it cuts out the odour.

It stopped working after 2 days. Very disappointed

Ideal for modern kitchens - I use it beside my hob and then pick it up and move it next to my air fryer or multi cooker (I stand it on a small box to make sure it is the correct height above the air fryer). It works perfectly and you can see the steam being pulled in. Quieter than my old, massive, cooker hood and the best part is when finished I just unplug and pop into the cupboard next to the cooker. Very happy with it. It comes with a spare filter grill but I bought a spare full filter kit when I purchased it, haven't needed either yet but like too be prepared. Great little extractor and an excellent price.
