Throw out your blinks and rings. Start here if you want a real security system for the house
Heart of a system is NVR. This does it all. Super easy to use, cheap, and the customer service that comes with it is out of this world. If your a novice or amateur when it comes to security cameras and security systems, this is what you plug your cameras into people. One Ethernet cable from your camera into this box and THATS IT. You can’t use “real” cameras without one of these…Don’t be like me and get overwhelmed thinking a camera system for a house needs professional install and huge $$$$.I bought some of his cameras to go with it and it’s one single wire from your cameras into this box. The cameras and the NVR do everything else. And for dam* cheap to.Best customer service I’ve ever gotten from a seller on Amazon in all these years. And he’s a real person who sells it! Ask away, he answers every question you throw at himThanks Andy, ready to add more cameras to it!Thanks Andy,

Good NVR, 32TB max storage capacity
Got this NVR with lesser known brand, but I'm certain it's an OEM brand with a different name printed on the box. I bought it to replace a desktop version running Blue Iris. The boot up interface is very similar (identical) to other major brands that I've used. The company logo was edited in the code accordingly. It recognizes two hard drives without issue. It recognizes all my cameras without issues. I have Amcrest, Hikvision, and EmpireTech POE cameras connected to the NVR directionctly. Online access is done by using DMSS app on Apple/Google app store. You will have to enable port mirroring in your home router to your NVR, and verify outside world can see you (canyouseeme.org). If you're not too familiar the process, there are plenty of videos on youtube. The fact you're looking to get an NVR suggests you already know it :)I recommend it.
