The description said it was made from stainless steel, I think it's made from metal, but perhaps paint sprayed in a metallic paint, which has been coated well. The whole set up can be used either for a right or left handed person and each piece is separate. It holds all my pots, plates, dishes as I haven't got a dishwasher. I wait until everything is in, then move the tray until the drip tray hangs over the sink, it doesn't top over and dries everything quickly. I can always get another metal tray in years to come, but the plastic tray underneath I will always keep and it so handy and I don't spend ages wiping the sink drainer dry.

Was initially delighted with this as we wanted to take up as little space on the worktop as possible whilst fitting on as much washing up as we could but also the draining spout had to be in the right place. Took a while to find but this more than fits the bill, can't believe how much stuff you can stack on what appears to be a fairly small drainer. Also easy to clean. HOWEVER - this is sold as "rust proof material" so how come ours is going rusty? It's not even six months old.

Just what I wanted fits nicely on my draining board as an extension and under the wall unit.
