The simple conversion of a plain wood drawer to a felt lined or "flocked" finish drawer is transformative and adds a special "touch" to that special project. While felt can be carefully cut, fitted and glued to surfaces like the inside of drawers, this systems tends to break down whe curved or irregular surfaces are involved. Enter Fiber Flocking. To Flock a surface, the surface is first coated with a thick and uniform paint like adhesive. This coated surface is then sprayed with a mist of short cut fibers, typically Rayon. The sprayer is usually a pair of telescoping tubes that force the dry fiber through a small hole onto the part. As the fibers are blown from the sprayer they pickup a Static Charge and tend to "standup" in the adhesive like the hair on your during a thunder storm. If you can resist the urge, which is kinda like the one you have to stick your fingers in a fan when it is running, and allow the adhesive to dry for 12 hours or so before you touch or rub it, you are reward with a beautiful, uniform surface that very durable and pleasing to the touch. This particular product consists of a precisely cut fibers and a color matched adhesive of high quality. While the bag of fiber seems small, don't let your eyes mislead you. This amount of fiber will cover a large area and unless you intend to Flock the outside of you new car, this will suffice for a lot of projects. Additionally, after the adhesive has dried, any fiber that is not fused to the project can be recovered and reused. Just be carfull not to contaminate with sawdust, dirt, etc.. I have found that lining a cardboard box with a plastic bag and coating the part in the box will catch the excess fiber and allow it to be recycled onto the next project. Just make sure that you completely coat the adhesive within 5 to 10 minutes getting into all the corners. Then go over the surface again spraying heavily and just to be sure coat it a third time. YOU CANNOT APPLY TO MUCH AND ANY THIN SPOTS OR MISSED SPOTS CANNOT BE "REPAIRED". Anywhere the surface becomes completely coated will reject any excess fiber and it can be brushed off, and recovered for the next project. A great enhancement and this is a quality product that will give you pleasing results.

Used this product on my dash to hide the cracks from the sun. Just used a small makeup brush to apply thr glue and bought a flock applicator to attempt to get the best results. I think it looks great a few areas I need to apply more glue and flock but that's user error. Definitely makes my car look newer and better then the factor dash material.

Grat Product

Was hoping this product would be at least decent to finish a product when I ran out of Flock-it brand flock. The flocking material is cheap and the glue is thin and runny not thick and tacky like others. It was a waste of money. Will be ordering Flock it from now on.
