I use it as a display stand.
The easel is meant to be used in the field or as a display stand and I use it more for the latter because the three legs dangle, they have no hinge to keep them in place. However I am very fond of it for displaying sketches and blueprints I need during studio work, and use it for pleine air work as it is more lightweight than the sturdier wooden ones. It is a sympathetic product.

Well, we bought this easel as my husband is a painter and we remained much longer than expected in our countryside house and he had started painting acquarelles. he can take it anywhere he wishes, no matter the type of ground. It's extremely light, and he is very happy with it. the price is excellent and we received it only 2 days after the order, being on the mountains of a Greek island. We recommend it for outdoor painting!

Good for beginners
I got this easel as a Christmas Gift for my 13 year old niece and she is happy with it. It is her first easel and it seems a good start for her at beginner level. It gives her good confidence and adds more fun to her art skills. Probably more experienced artists would be critical of it being light weight and perhaps not being able to hold a larger sized board. It should be noted that it does not come with a board or support for the paper/canvas. All in all good for beginners and the price!
