How big does this ball expand out too?

Can’t say exact measures but big I’d say put your hands out body span apart and it’s that big lol

how tough is this? for a child with Down's who can be quite rough on his toys

It's made of pretty tough, robust plastic and has been fairly abused by my son (autism/adhd) and his friends -it's still complete and working. Even the cheaper versions are fairly durable which I use in therapy. The kids love them. I'd go for it.
