Melissa & Doug Folding Horse Stable

VERY impressed with this barn. The quality is superb, I love how they incorporated 7 working doors of all stable types. I also love how kids can use it either closed or opened up. It has lots of nice detail like the ladder to the hayloft and the sliding stall doors work great. Yes its unpainted, but when you get it the quality and attention to detail make it look very realistic. I also love how it's big enough for BOTH Breyer Classic and Traditional model horses. This way I don't have to worry about anyone else buying different sized Breyer's for her because they will all fit, in fact the Classic Breyer's look pony sized in the barn. The only thing I'd change about the barn is that I wish it had a wooden handle at the roof and a latch to keep the barn from swinging open when picked up. Also magnets to keep the stall doors closed when picked up would also be nice.Also, I forgot to mention: NO ASSEMBLY! Comes out of the box ready to go except for the fence which looks pretty simple.Overall, I am so impressed with this barn I will be purposely looking at Melissa and Doug designed toys in the future.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this because it was priced so high. However, it was a Christmas present for my daughter, and I wanted to give her something really nice. She LOVES it! She loves that it opens up and she can put all her horse models inside stalls, it comes with a little wooden fence that she can set up to make a corral. She plays with it everyday. I and my husband were also impressed with the quality of it. The wood is real, and it's very solid. The doors all open and the fence is very well put together. It is definitely worth the price, and any child who is horse crazy will love it.

This is a beautiful item and packaged wonderfully. It has functional doors and windows and a fence to set up for the horses. My 4 year old niece has tiny ponies, my little ponies and large 18" ponies and this beautiful stable can take it all.. my 2 year old niece thought it was fun to ride it like a donkey (haha the terrible twos) and Melissa & Doug Folding Horse Stable withstood it all. Even the cat plays in it. All joking aside, this is well worth the money, sturdy, well made, and truly is a practical toy.

Bought this for Christmas for my pre-teen, horse-crazed daughter.It's generously sized and when unfolded, creates enough room for both my girls (the other is 5) to play comfortably together. Well-made of solid wood. All the operational doors and hole from the loft make this versatile and fun. It's endured frequent play, being sat upon, sisterly squabbles and even our toddler's less-than-gentle investigations. Folded up, it holds A LOT, nice and neat. We have several Breyer Classic-sized horses in it, a couple dolls, all their accessories, the fence, and stable-cleaning tools, with plenty of room to spare. Breyer Traditional horses are probably more to scale, given window height, but it'll hold fewer of those than we can fit of the Classics.The price is half that of comparable models - and those models don't have the fold-up storage option, which I LOVE. This is one toy that will be saved for grandkids someday.

This is an extremely well made wooden stable. The doors slide open easily and the fence that is included opens well and is large. The whole item is large, actually. I included a picture that (from left to right) shows a melissa and Doug horse from the show pony take along stable, a Schleich horse, and a Schleich foal. As you can see none of these horses are large enough to put there heads out of any of the stable half doors. This is nice as my daughter can fit all her plastic animals (a whole farms worth) in one side of the stable but I will likely need to invest in more size appropriate animals as she gets older. I think this would be a great piece to paint barn colors as it is well made and will last hard play. Would recommend but buyers should be aware of the size they are purchasing. Melissa and Doug also has a smaller stable available.

I remember having a wood stable and corral for my Breyer horses when I was a little girl. It was one of my favorite Christmas gifts. Now I have a 7 year old daughter who plays with my horses and needed a nice stable for them. I can't wait for her to open this on Christmas morning! It's beautifully made and is the perfect size for Breyer Classics horses. A few other reviewers have said they seem a little small for the stable, but I think they are a perfect fit. The corral fencing that comes with the stable is well-made and unfolds easily - I ordered an extra set as well so my daughter can make a large corral for all her horses.If you are looking for a nice quality stable for your child, look no further. This is it! The plastic stables I saw in stores and online don't even compare to this. If my daughter doesn't play with this (which is doubtful!), then I will. I plan on keeping this for future grandkids, as well.

I had planned on buying a Breyer barn but after seeing this, it looked better than anything they had to offer. I'm so glad I went this direction as the barn is fantastic! Nice and big, large enough for an entire herd of the "classic" size Breyer horses. I'm guessing the larger Breyers would also fit. Fun that it also came with a small fence. My daughter decided to paint her barn which was an unexpected and fun bonus to the barn being a natural wood. Would purchase again and would highly recommend.

If your kid loves making little towns and using stuffed animals to live in this amazing barn, this is the toy for your kids! Bearytwo, an old bear animal toy, loves and utilizes this house for his riches. All in all, it is a fantastic place of residence. Another use for this incredibly durable house is for horses, as it is a horse barn. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy this and expecting it to last. Does last very long, and still looks brand new. 5/5 stars definitely.
