Works great with the Analogue Pocket Dock!
Bought 2 of these to pair with my Analogue Pocket while docked. You have to update the controller firmware to get it to sync but once done they work perfectly! The buttons even work with the shortcuts on the dock!

Nostalgic
These are great, has the design of the original Sega Saturn controller. I had commissioned a guy to build a mini sega Saturn an these controllers go perfect with it

Terrific Pad
I recently bought one of these directly from 8bitdo, and though it took a little while to arrive, it was completely worth it. I already had one of the black Bluetooth controllers, but there's a certain convenience in having a 2.4G dongle so you can just plug and play. I first tested it on the Mega Drive Mini 2, and it worked perfectly. It also works great on my Mac Mini and PC. Though there's no official mention of it working with the Raspberry Pi, I tried it via RetroPie, and it worked perfectly. The controller feels really comfortable to hold and use. Though the colour scheme is based on a Saturn controller, the shell itself takes after the smaller Japanese version of the Mega Drive 6-button controller, rather than the larger version released here in the UK, so it might be somewhat uncomfortable for those with larger hands. There is a large version of the 6-button MD pad available from Retro-Bit (but if you do try one, go wired, as their batteries are terrible and the pads cannot be used wired). Here on the 8bitdo M30, battery life is great, and it can be used wired. In my experience these are the best modern day Mega Drive controllers.

Too much hype around this controller
Hollow buttons, would not recommend.

Not Plug and Play on Linux
Doesn't work well on Linux. It works on Linux but very problematic. Tested on Linux Mint 22.3. The controller is recognised as a generic 6-button controller within Steam and various emulators and requires manual configuration for every application you use it with. Some emulators will simply not allow remapping the controller buttons. Not a very plug and play solution but works better than the Bluetooth version which is basically useless on Linux. I recommend avoiding this one and looking for something that is known to be recognised and highly compatible.

Wouldn’t work on windows for me
Bought on the basis of reviews stating that these worked wirelessly on PC - 8bitdo states that they don’t, and that’s what I found. Button presses are registered but games don’t actually control properly. Have returned to get the Bluetooth version instead

Also zugegriffen.
