My pond is 18,000 gallons. I also vary the type of food for my fish just as we don't eat the same thing every day either. Partial (20%) water changes are also a good idea to maintain good water quality. There is such a thing as red algae that might color the water. Good water quality will clear that up also. **Q: What size is the pellet? Will 3-4" koi be able to eat it?** A: If you can find it I think that they would be better off with the small pellets.
