Strong flashlight – Solid build quality – Simple user interface
The Modern Needs (labeled as Baer) flashlight is a powerful flashlight. It is rechargeable via a USB-C cable. At 6 inches long, it’s a pocket flashlight. It comes with a clip to attach to your pocket. The bright white light is powered by a 4000 mAh Lithium ion battery. Build quality is excellent. The UI of the Modern is a single button that steps through three light levels and two strobe patterns. See the attached video that shows a powerful light in action. It is obvious to me that rechargeable flashlights using the 3.7 V battery format are brighter than their AA battery at 1.5 V cousins. So there is a double benefit of rechargeability. The Modern flashlight seems to be crafted from a billet of Aluminum. It feels very substantial in one’s hand. The simple user interface is a plus. The only negative is the rubber seal on the USB port. It can come undone very easily. Be careful when recharging. But it gets top rating even though it is a bit pricy.

Fantastic Flashlight
This Flashlight is one of the brightest, if not THE brightest I have ever used. Heavy duty fantastic quality and it's rechargeable! It's not too large or too heavy, making it comfortable to hold. Because it's so bright and of excellent heavy duty quality, I thought it'd be perfect to keep it in my car for emergencies which ended up being a wise decision since last week I ended up on the side of an unlit country road at 11:30pm with a flat tire after running over a trailer hitch. Needless to say, I was incredibly grateful to have this Flashlight with me. It made the task at hand much easier to get through. So if you're looking for a BRIGHT flashlight of fantastic quality, I recommend looking no further.

Not worth the price
I'm disappointed in this light, especially given the price. No documentation or support/warranty/return info, not a shred of paper in the box. Make sure to remove the insulating disc from the rear of the battery compartment. There is some kind of larger port next to the usb charging port (pic), wish I knew what plugged into it. Looks like a PC SATA port. The interface is simple: one button press = high, another press = medium, third press = low, fourth press = strobe, fifth press = SOS, sixth press = off. So once on, you need to press the button five more times and cycle through all the modes to turn it off. Definitely a far cry from the Anduril 2.0 interface in my $30 Sofirn. The beam is broad and does not carry far as I would expect from a light of this size, and there is no focus adjustment. I believe it is 1000 lumens as stated on high, but no idea what the med and low are (again, no doc). The refresh rate on the medium setting gives some flicker (pic). I was disappointed there is no button or magnet in the screw-on back. The clip is strong, and the metal body feels durable. No exterior battery level indicator. Too big for pocket carry. The listing here is Modern Needs Night Defender, on the box it reads NinBriLight Solar Flare, and on the light itself It is branded as a company called BAER (pic), which is interesting only to me because earlier this week I received a velcro patch that supposed to be a flag but was instead this BAER company logo. Never heard of them, but I like bears. So to sum up, for $60 you get a reasonably bright, durable flashlight, an annoying interface, with no additional feature or selling points, and damningly no warranty or customer support. I'll pass on that deal, thanks.

Good product
I love rechargeable flashlights. I do a lot of building inspections, many on abandoned properties that have no active electricity, therefore no lighting. This flashlight is small enough to easily carry, but bright enough to do the job, and it is rechargeable. Good solid build too.

Bright
The flashlight is small, compact, and easy to use. I love the fact it’s rechargeable. It has multiple light functions. And, most importantly, it is very bright. It illuminates for quite a distance. Only thing is I have to be carefully when using this so I don’t shine it in others eyes! Really nice product.
