Hard to rate this as it is a very specific sound
So .. It's a Fuzz pedal .. and I like it .. I saw a review from 60cyclehum .. He didn't rate it highly .. but it was the sound I was looking for ... so I bought one ... and it doesn't sound exactly like the one reviewed on the tippy tappy ... but .. im not surprized as its so cheap ? .. built ok .. not a versatile pedal .. does one sound well.. I'm pleased ... but I wanted something very specific... so .. make your own mid up!

Cheap, awful rubbish.
I messed around with this Azor overdrive pedal for a good hour or so and could not find a single acceptable sound with any of the settings. I returned it and bought the Behringer Overdrive Distortion pedal instead (about ยฃ5 more expensive) and the difference is huge. The Behringer pedal has a range of GREAT sounds and is a quality product. My experience of Behringer's pedal rang is positive so far, so I doubt I'll be going anywhere near these cheap worthless budget pedals. Just pay the extra and go with Behringer if you want decent quality low-cost pedals.

Gold Caline klone - Noise, Noise Noise!
This pedal sounds great, but the noise level of it makes it unusable. It's not just hiss, but cracks, pops and scratching sounds which are very annoying. I had to return mine due to this.

A bit naff
If you can find the one setting where it doesn't sound terrible you can get a pretty nice fuzzy tone. That's it though, one sound.

A wee pedal with some mojo
Azor pedals got a pretty favourable group review on the YouTube channel 60 second hum and this little red fella was a bit of a shout out. Great little pedal for peanuts. I use it on medium gain to add a good pinch of grit and punch to my clean signal for that "Bryan Adams" 80s pop rock vibe. So sue me I'm old. This probably isn't what you want for metal but for around ยฃ20 I can only recommend.

the definitive heavy metal sound, with lots of variety
This is a clone of the famous "Metal Zone" pedal. The Azor AP 321 aims at one thing and it accomplishes it spectacularly: full blown heavy metal distortion. I've lined this up with several of my other distortion pedals, such as the Tube Screamer, and this pedal far exceeds them in terms of distortion level and bass boost. In fact, when the distortion control is on its highest, it is probably more than the most hard core heavy metal guitarist would want. The extreme/classic toggle switch changes the character of the pedal completely, to the point that it's almost like a two in one. I have several Azor pedals and the construction quality and sound on all are outstanding. This is no exception.

It Does The Job Very Well
I needed more "punch" for my Taylor Acoustic guitar while playing in a church band. I had been using a Radial DI box which did the trick but we added singers and I lost the use of an XLR plug so I had to go back to a 1/4" guitar plug. For awhile I used an Ibznez TS9 with the Drive turned down and that worked well but I still needed more volume. I considered the tc Helicon Spark and the Azor Pure Boost. Both provide 20dB volume boost. I purchased the Azor because of the price difference and wow, it works! The distance from the stage to the sound booth is about 60 feet and I set the Azor Gain at about 1:00. Plenty of good clear sound. A nice plus is the eq of Bass and Tone (treble). "Level" is like a master volume which I set at 1:00 also. The Azor is doing a great job!

great silicon fuzz face clone
$35.90 cnd gets you a great silicon fuzz face clone that works as expected (wonderfully) it must be first in your FX chain, cleans up nicely with vol on guitar, my only complaint, is the fuzz knob at 10 sounds a bit off, but at 9.9 it's perfect. :)
