This keyboard can’t be beaten!
As a person that uses a keyboard throughout most of my day, one can’t survive without using the “right” mechanical switches. To make the fewest mistakes, to type the quickest, to get the feedback that you need from your fingers pressing down back to your brain saying “you did that right” or “you slipped up and need to do *this* to correct it”.If it’s so much as slightly confused, as to what your mistake was exactly, or that you’re unsure if you pressed the key properly, that makes you take inadvertent breaks that make you way less proficient with whatever you’re doing. When typing for work, talking to friends, gaming competitively, etc. — Any incoherency will slow you down, mess up your fluency and pattern of doing things, making you feel less in touch with the game you play. It’s only human to need something that is tailored to work on the same mental frequency as you physically handle it, it’s like knowing the feel of your basketball better than any other. You bring it to the court with the same pressure you prefer and you don’t want to admit that it gives you an advantage, that you understand how it’s going to operate when you use it.That is exactly how it feels with these Gateron Brown switches.Within the past few years alone, I’ve been through a couple different boards with different advantages. I started with the typical “clicky and tactile” mechanical keys. They were a neat introduction into what a better keyboard had to offer. The sound made the use of a keyboard seem “enhanced” while offering a tactile feel with transparent feedback. When it came the time to retire the clicky mechanical board, I made a move in the opposite direction.I ended up getting a “silent”, linear switch mechanical keyboard without the “tactile” bump. Now this was an improvement for me when it came to playing certain games where strafing was involved, but the activation point was so short, that I found myself hitting wrong keys accidentally WAY too much for my liking. That’s when I got this Epomaker keyboard with the Gateron browns.First off, I LOVE this keyboard. In my experience within mechanicals, no keyboard switch is truly “silent”, but these are very quiet and present a very warm, low tonality that is easy on the ears and provides the auditory feedback I need to be confident when I type.I had myself worried at first “how will I ever get used to a keyboard where I can’t use the arrow keys to do simple text edits”? Boy, I was wrong. This board allows you to use arrow keys with function + the surrounding keys. Matter of fact, it has all the key functionalities that a “tenkeyless” keyboard has, and there isn’t a big learning curve either. The space I have for competitive gaming is amazing, I use a very low sensitivity and this makes me feel much more open to control my character with the movement room it frees up. That combined with all the keyboard functionalities I’m used to makes this keyboard a no-brainer.I mentioned before that you really need a “feel” for your keyboard. Switches that make you feel in touch, to maximize the proficiency that you’re capable of. Why should your keyboard be the limit to how you type rather than your own physical limitations?I find these brown Gaterons give me the feedback I need in every way to type confidently with minimum mistakes, and at the maximum potential of my own limitations. None of those excessive mistakes like I’ve gotten with my previous linear switches. Now, I’m usually not very impressed by keyboard lighting, it’s usually just a convenience for seeing the keyboard layout or backlighting the key text on some keyboards. The backlighting, pattern and speed options in this keyboard are great! The coloring is solid and fills very well, it looks clean and presents a nice aesthetic. At the same time, I find the light doesn’t leak out where it adds visual “noise” to my surroundings. It is very focused on the board and pleasant to look at.I honestly could not recommend this keyboard more. For the price it delivers above it’s weight and supersedes the value of other more expensive keyboards I’ve owned and used.If I have one complaint, it’s that at night the dark color scheme of this keyboard makes it harder to see the key markings. This is mostly my fault though, as I don’t have any light in my background other than my monitor. I would definitely suggest a lighter version of this board (the second darkest or the white) to anybody in a similar situation. Other than that, the keys are generally easy to see.All in all, I can’t say there’s a better keyboard on the market for this price point, and even more-so, I didn’t expect this to impress me more than most of the “flagship” keyboards from other reputable companies. When I am in the market for another/different board, I will certainly be looking for another Epomaker!

1 YEAR OF USAGE REVIEW.
Placed order: April 7, 2024I have been using it every day since it arrived and it's yet to have any yellowing, mind you I don't eat many chips and try to avoid touching my keyboard when I eat, I don't clean it every week, I clean it every 2 weeks to a month. Overall, NO YELLOWING or discoloration. No connectivity issues.ONLY ISSUE I'VE HAD, It repeats the letters here and there (aand, oor, theere) , it's not stuck, I'l simply struggle to type here and there due to the switches being so sensitive. I do play competitive shooting games and it's done a pretty good job considering its not built for it.

This Is My 1st Product Review
I never write reviews even when I like products but this is a really good keyboard you would’ve thought it’s $100 with the quality. It’s the perfect size I needed, gaps between keys are really compact, nice low profile, gets the job done.Switches come stock as Epomaker Wisteria Creamy Linear (purple/green)Makes a great sound “creamy” switch but the keycaps make it a little clicky. I changed my keycaps and now it’s a nicer sound, less clicky (also got them on amazon)

The typing experience is very soft and smooth. For its price, the EPOMAKER EP64 is a fantastic compact mechanical keyboard with great switches, solid wireless connectivity, and excellent build quality. If you’re looking for a 60% keyboard with hot-swappable switches and multi-device support, this is a great choice!

I shouldn't have worried! BEST. BOARD. EVER!
This was a risky purchase for me... RGB lighting is usually tacky looking to me, I thought I'd miss the arrow and function keys, and optical switches are supposed to be way worse than regular mechanical switches. RIGHT?WOW though!! There was no need to worry!! I absolutely love everything about this board! I love it so much I might film, respring, and lube this baby up to make it feel like a TOTL board.I don't miss the arrow or function keys at all, it's so cute and small and feels so good that this is an easy trade off. Also, the colors of the keys and the feeling of the PBT keys is just fantastic! I got the black-key version and it's both bold and subdued at the same time somehow.. like a maseati, it's just sleek and you can almost glance over it but as soon as you look closer it screams awesomeness at the same time as practicality. This could easily be an office keyboard as well as a gaming/battlestation keeb. And, not only that, but the RGB on this is GORGEOUS! It's not overly bright, but the colors have crisp saturation so (even though I thought when buying it I'd just turn the lighting off...) I LOVE THE RGB. HahahaUsing this for gaming is AMAZING. The optical switches are legit noticeably faster than traditional mech switches. The input time on it (12-20ms faster..doesn't seem like much) is actually noticeable and I love how instantaneous my movements feel now. It's like going from a 60fps to 144hz monitor! The value of this is ridiculous. I bought it just for the fact that it's hotswappable at only $65. INSANE. I do find that the red's a bit fast for my meatsticks, I want a tad bit more pressure in the springs.. SOOO, since it's hotswappable, I could literally just buy a $15 60pack of Gat-Blacks and swap these switches out..but, honestly, the red's pretty great for gaming and the board's so inexpensive that I might simply buy another one in black to use when I'm typing more instead of gaming.Last thing too, I was worried that with it being an inexpensive board with hotswap, inexpensive switches, and inexpensive caps, the keys would feel wobbly... well NOT AT ALL. This is not my first mechanical board (not even close) and this one's about tied as the most well-seated clicks that I've had.OPTICAL IS THE NEW WAY TO GO!!!! I am SO GLAD I bought this board out!!!!!(I'll update this if it craps out or I notice something I don't like about it, but right now it's seriously just perfect, I can't find anything negative to say yet!)
