With my eyesight getting worse, this is very handy

Nothing wrong with the magnifier itself, the light is bright and for reading assistance, it would be perfect. I, however, really needed something to help with seeing splinters etc. In fact, I had a glass splinter in my foot today and I wasn’t able to see it myself. Luckily my daughter (who has the benefit of young eyesight - lol) was able to use it and successfully removed the splinter for me - YAY! If 3x magnifying will work for your purposes, then I would recommend it, the light definitely adds to its usefulness!

This is a really nice magnifying glass. The handle is very comfortable to grip and hold, even for my old arthritic hands. There is a built-in LED light that you can turn on or off, and the nice thing about the light is isn't too bright so it doesn't cause distracting glare on glossy or bright white paper. The cardboard packaging leaves a lot to be desired, the magnifying glass is covered in cardboard dust debris out of the box, and will need a thorough cleaning before use. Also, find a dust free box to store it in, because storing it in the original box will just get the lens filthy and dirty all over again. A Crown Royal bag works great for storing the glass when not in use with no worry about scratching the lens.

I really like this magnifying glass. It’s easy to hold with a rubberized handle and it’s comfortable in my hand. It’s got convex and concave lenses. It’s easy to locate with neon orange surrounding the lens and on the handle as well. The magnification is 3x and I use it for the ‘fine print’ and other small craft uses.I didn’t think I needed the light, but I use it all the time. It’s ready to use out of the box because the batteries come in it.
