ILM Motorcycle Dual Visor Flip up Modular Full Face Helmet DOT Model 902/902L

Some of the components seem cheap and flimsy plastic but its the non-functional pieces. The functional parts like vents, clips, etc all seem quality. Its quite comfortable and lightweight. The visors etc are easy to use and work well. I thought I might want to return it when it came but after two rides, I think it's an ok helmet. I hope it's safe and will protect in a crash. It seems like it would. I don't do a lot of highway riding but it's comfortable at 70mph and below, not much wind noise or whistles or vibration. Also, pretty good ventilation but not great. My head wasn't hot but I had helmets in past that had better airflow ventilation. One thing I didn't care for is with face / chin part down, didn't feel like I had options or was getting a lot of fresh air. I had a fixed full face helmet years ago and I remember it had 3 vent settings. You could get enormous air flow to breathe or dial back couple steps and close air flow. While I didn't really get hot or sweaty, I didn't notice much difference in vents open or closed. On my old helmet years ago, if I opened top vents, you definitely felt airflow and cooling. I had in Colorado and remember closing because in fall your head would get cold. This helmet, I don't think there is a airflow path inside. Probably some Air comes in, but there are not good channels.

In their listing they said if the padding inside was to small to contact them and they would size up no problem. I have contacted them two weeks ago and no response. Even offered to pay them for the size up. So maybe consider a different seller since they don’t adhere to what they promised. UPDATE TO MY REVIEW. THEY DID SEND ME ANOTHER FOAM PADDING LINER QUICKLY AFTER I FINALLY GOT IN CONTACT WITH THEM. THEIR PRODUCT INFORMATION SAYS IF IT IS TO LARGE OR TO SMALL THEY WILL CORRECT THE PROBLEM. I ORDERED A MEDIUM PER THE MEASURING TECHNIQUE. IT WAS TO TIGHT FOR MY HEAD. THE IMMEDIATELY SENT ME THE REPLACEMENT PADDING TO ACCOMMODATE A LARGE SIZE. SO WITH THAT BEING SAID THEY MAKE GOOD ON THEIR PROMISE TO MAKE SIZE ADJUSTMENTS S PROMISED. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE HELP YOU PROVIDED .NOW THE HELMET IS A PERFECT FIT. IT REALLY IS COMFORTABLE WHEN YOU SIZE IT CORRECTLY. ALL THE OTHER FEATURES ARE GREAT AND EASY TO USE. I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE FLIP DOWN SUNSHADE. VERY NICE FEATURE. SO FOR THE PRICE AND THE QUALITY AND FIT THIS IS A SUPER BUY.

Great feeling helmet, haven’t quite figured out how to not fog up glass, but the drop down visor is handy. Pretty top heavy, but very comfortable and affordable.

Bought this as an upgrade from a downhill mountain bike full face helmet. It's definitely heavier ( I think its nearly 5 lbs?) but wow you feel much safer with this and it's so much more comfortable. The airflow is great. I will say though when it's hot and you're sweating a little if you aren't moving the lenses fog up FAST which is dangerous and I really don't like that but at least you can flip the visor up easily. Very comfortable. Oh I will say there's a terrible sound echo inside the helmet. If you raise your voice to talk to people through the helmet it's like you're yelling at yourself inside the helmet which I also don't like. Still worth it though for the price.

The helmet is fairly nice. I wasn't sure what to expect for this price, but I was pleasantly surprised. There's a few little issues, but I think I'll manage lol. The chin strap is uncomfortable and puts the bulky metal buckle into my Adam's apple. That hurts like crap and I'm always messing with it while riding. It's not the lightest of weight, but it's not uncomfortably heavy either. The wind noise is definitely present as they have left recesses for a bluetooth speaker set up to be installed if desired. There's really no padding or sound dampening in those recesses at the moment, so there's an almost ear sized cavity that lets the noise resonate by the ear. That being said, it's still quieter than my previous helmet which had padding there because this helmet is actually very aerodynamic. The sunshade flipdown feels a bit glitchy, but so far it works just fine. I do feel the price there lol. I'm all in all a very happy customer for what I paid for it. Sizes might run a bit large.

I really wanted to like this helmet because it fit great and was surprisingly lightweight. It was comfortable when I tried it on, and the wind noise seemed decent from my brief use. Unfortunately, I ended up returning it because the materials felt much cheaper than I expected. For the price, I was hoping for a more solid, higher-quality construction. The fit was good, but I couldn’t get past how inexpensive it felt. If you’re looking for a lightweight helmet and aren’t too concerned about premium materials, it may still work for you. It just wasn’t the right choice for me.

Original: Overall great just some minor issues. 1. Bugs get in lol. They can easily get in through the bottom of the chin, my chin gaurd does pop out regularly so maybe mines busted. But lost of bugs gets fixed if you wear a scarf but i just open the visor and let them out. 2. My head is the smallest size (55), the helmet is slight too big it moves so id say their small is actually closer to 57 than 55. Thats all! Other than that theyre great Oh They get really wet from sweat and take so long to dry which can be gross if youre doing multiple trips in a short time. The visors do smudge very easily but a simple hankercheif will keep you set Edit: You can take the padding out for cleaning or to add a headset. However, once the padding is unbuttoned once it will continue to come undone with the slightest motion like just holding the helmet from the neck edge... this is by far the moat annoying as i have to spend 5 minutes clipping the piece back in and then gingerly put the helmet on so not to repeat the problem. Size wise the helmets too big. I am the smallest size listed -it is too big. Easy fix for that is wearing a hat under the helmet but kinda sucks to do that when i would have prefered to buy a helmet that actually accomodates my size for this price. Visor smudge and fog got 100x worse. Obviously with weather changes i expected some additional fogging but i cant even have the visor down if i want to do anything that requires regular breathing like a phone call or just singing along to music. I would have thought the air vent at the mouth would help mitigate this but no. In addition to the chin piece comming off the little plastic bit by your nose where the visor closes just pops out (ee have 2 helmets and this is a big annoying problem on both.

Fantastic value: price is excellent, quality is amazing and the multi-features all work brilliantly. My first and only review for an Amazon item purchased - this helmet deserves it! Make this your one and only starter helmet.

Love having the jaw flip up, the drop down smoke lens is kinda cheesy, the fit is right on the money. It smells like diesel, have washed all the liners but still stinks a bit. Does the job...

I love this new helmet as it is as good as helmets costing 4x as much. It is very east to don and the ratchet strap is a nice feature. I also like the helmet light in the rear of the helmet as it helps to increase visibility. I also like the built in dark visor. It fits like a glove and feels super comfortable. Would definitely buy this again.

Good for it's price. Fallow the sizing steps that are laid out in the listing and you shouldn't have issues. My measurements came up as med and the med fits fine. A Little snug but by no means is it uncomfortable in any way.
