This bee-shaped honey jar has an interesting design. The wing is on a hinge that lifts up to open the glass jar, which is the body of the bee. This wing doesn't cover the jar completely. There is a cut-out in the wing that allows a spoon to sit in the jar. This honey jar was not intended to store honey, only to serve it during a party or meal, so I am fine with this opening.The wing has an etched pattern on it. The design looks like hash-marks instead of lines on a wing - like the Godinger version of this honey jar has. I prefer the Godinger design.The head of the bee sort of looks like a fly. The antennae are glued in place. Be careful not to bump them or they will dislodge.The spoon and honey wand are well made and look very nice.We entertain friends and family a lot at our house. I'm currently using this honey jar to hold hot honey (honey infused with chili peppers) to use with an appetizer for a honey-themed cocktail party. It's perfect for this!Overall, I am happy with this honey jar. It's a fun way to serve honey. I do recommend it.

I think this is going to be my honey display for all special occasions, mother's day, thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. (I'm a beekeeper so I like to display 'my' honey in a special way). It's delicate, but not fragile.The one thing I detracted a star for is the honey dipper itself is VERY heavy. Which is nice, but I worry about it hitting the glass and cracking it, the quality of metal of the honey dipper is VERY different from the rest of the decoration. Overall, a super cute way to display honey and would make a good gift for the bee lover in your family!

This bee honey jar is cute but I didn't think about it when I ordered it. It takes quite a bit of honey to fill this bee's belly and unless you are serving quite a few people, you will be either throwing it away or returning it to the original container. This does not seal. Its wings serve to cover the honey pot, but they are not air tight. This is purely for serving. Additionally, this bee is more brass colored than gold colored. Cut addition to the table but I may fill with small candies in the spring/summer.

This is really cute but I don’t think it’s practical. This would make a great gift. More for display.

A charming honey (or condiment) dish that's looks beautiful on the table. I liked that it came with it's own matching metal spoon and honey dipper. My only issue was that the glass dish part of the bee doesn't detach for easy cleaning. It seemed like a "no brainer" to me to have the silver and glass as separate pieces. It is a pretty serving piece though. I liked it so much I decided to keep it for myself instead of giving it away as a gift.

I really like the unique design of this honey holder. It comes with a spoon and a comb type stirrer. The part that holds the honey is glass. There is one big design flaw that I don't like. The cut out in the back between the wings leaves a decent size opening so the honey isn't fully sealed. This is an issue because fruit flies can get in there.

Great honey pot that looks fantastic when serving tea or anything else you want honey with. It isn't completely sealed, unfortunately, but it does seem stable and it seems as if it won't tip over. I really thought ot would close tightly from how I viewed the pics, but the top part doesn't lay completely flat, there is the smallest gap that is impossible to straighten out-- hence the one star removal.Also, I ordered the silver, since I think it looks better with my dishes and decor. But the gold looks nicer.

The media could not be loaded.  This honey holder is too cute. Easy to use/fill, and a talking piece. I love the feel of the utensils and the sturdiness of the bee. Definitely recommend this product.
