No blotching or patchiness
I wanted to dye a pink and white striped polyester shirt navy blue and this did a perfect job with no blotching or patchiness after 1/2 hour of stirring. Even the buttons were dyed blue. (Obviously the white stripes came out a lighter shade of blue, as expected.) A large saucepan (which cannot be used for food after dying) is needed into which the item to be dyed must be placed, and it needs room to move freely in the pan with the hot water and dye solution. The dye packet is water soluble so there is no mess. A large spoon for mixing the dye solution and a pair of tongs for picking up and moving the item being dyed is helpful to have to hand as well. As the water is brought up to temperature slowly there is no shrinkage, and the dye rinses out easily afterwards.

Good result - can be used in a washing machine
I had been searching for a polyester dye for some time as I wanted to dye some curtains. It took me a while to locate a product, but when the dye arrived the instructions stated it should be used as a hand dye on a stove. As I was dyeing large curtains (330cm x 140cm), this simply wasn't possible on a domestic cooker, so I took a risk and put one in the washing machine at the highest temperature and put the dye mixture in the drawer compartment. I'm happy to say they have all turned out fine, evenness of colour and the same shade as on the pack. I was so pleased I ordered some more. I would recommend this highly - also as I used the machine, there was no chemical smell at all.

Great clothes dye
Lovely colour. More purple/blue than a true blue (tanzanite colour), but I don't mind, it's still a lovely deep, vibrant colour. Worked well on two floaty, shear tops; one was a cream top and the other was bright pink. Both have come out lovely. I only boiled them for 30 minutes, rinsed well in cold water, then put them in the washing machine. Don't forget to wear rubber gloves... your hands and nails will turn blue if not, and it doesn't wash off easily ;-)

Dyes more purple than blue
Doesn't dye a rich blue colour as expected - more of a purple toned / cornflower blue Also patchy in places and colour transfers easily even after 2 washes!

didn't seem to dye evenly but once dry it was fine. I am very impressed with the results and ...
Over the years I have done quite a bit of dying but never used this product before. I knew it was difficult to dye 100% polyester but couldn't find just the right colour crepe fabric for my mother of the bride outfit so diy dying was the only solution. I was only changing the colour slightly but my first test sample picked up too much colour in less than 5 mins. Although I haven't dyed my whole fabric yet I achieved the right colour change to another sample by using a very watered down mix and I didn't have to use the colour intensifyer. On one sample I did get some darker spots because I added more dye part way through so I will make sure it boils in the pan first before adding my fabric. I will also cut out my fabric pieces before dying (slightly bigger in case of shrinkage) to reduce the overall volume of fabric. As part of my ensemble I have had to mix some dyes to match the colour of a contrast fabric, which worked well. Some lace, which must be a mix of fibres, didn't seem to dye evenly but once dry it was fine. I am very impressed with the results and wouldn't hesitate to use it again.

Possibly okay for a craft project - but it ruined the dress I dyed
Was never keen on the colours of the dress so decided to try and dye it. Fabric content 95% polyester, 5% elastane. Suspected I was going to ruin it but figured would take chance as never wore it anyway. Fabric was really thick quality. First effort I copied another user and tried pouring the prepared dye into the drawer of my washing machine, water at 60 degrees. This had little effect except to make the item a bit grey and awful looking. So got another pack and used stovetop method as recommended. The high heat ruined the dress, came out all thin and wrinkled with the wrinkles baked in so won't come out. The dye worked though, and went overly dark. Perhaps if I'd only given it 5 minutes instead of the 30 recommended it might have been okay, with a lighter blue on the flowers (what I was aiming for). But looks like a rag now, so lesson learned.

Used in the washing machine
Years ago I tried to dye this satin dress black it came out coral coloured. I saw this dye and purchased 2 sachets but couldn't fine a saucepan big enough to use so put it on 90* in my washing machine and the results are brilliant

Does the job but.....
I bought this to dye a polyester cricket sweater. The weight of garment meant I needed two packs of dye so I put the dye and garment in the largest pot I have for use on the cooker and boiled garment for 45 mins as advised, with frequent stirring. However, the garment was a bit of a tight fit in the pot and when the process was complete and the sweater washed it was streaky and badly creased. The creases didn't come out with ironing and the dye streaks have persisted after washing. I wouldn't buy this dye to treat anything other than small items unless you have a large cauldron to boil it in! Also, most sythetic fabrics do not take well to being boiled and will crease badly. However, this product did dye the garment as it said it would. I wouldn't use it again though on this type of fabric

Prodotto efficace
Consigliato.

Do the work, it takes time
Started with a very light mint green alpha direct polartec hoodie. The clothing is great, the color was not. I read about how to dye polyester and this seemed like it might be worth a shot. Getting that much water to boil was the hardest part. It was about 50deg outside (have to do this outside, the smell is strong) on a little one burner camping stove. That wasn't going to work. So I tried a propane torch. That added enough heat, but it was kind of scary. Your clothing must stay in the boiling water for at least 1/2 hour. And then it was a little difficult to get the smell out. I rinsed and rinsed and baking soda and vinegar. Finally it it odor free. Pros - it works. your clothing will change color. Cheaper than buying new clothing. mess-free Cons - must be done outdoors. Hard to predict exactly the resulting color. boiling water takes a while I like this dye and will probably use it again if I want to change the color of a piece of gear

Incluso para plasticos
Tiñe plásticos y materiales sintéticos. Solo hay que vigilar la temperatura que aguanta el soporte sin deformarse. Yo lo he usado para teñir policarbonato y ha ido genial.
