Fabulous gift! Compact, easy to carry in luggage, and work well - both forwards and backwards! The sound effects are a plus - chug chug, warning bell, and whistle. Good value.

You have to put this together and there are no instructions included.
Well, the items are very cute. You do have to put everything together, and there are no instructions included at all on the box or a pamphlet inside the box telling you how to put it together and what goes where. I had to look up the item that I bought to figure out how it went together. That’s the reason why I gave it four stars. I don’t know how difficult it would be to include instructions on how to put together.

Only worked for the wooden tracks not Thomas tracks
It is a cool train it has cool noises and goes forward and backwards. It doesn’t go up hills and does struggle to stay on the plastic tracks from the “thomas” brand trains. My 3 year old does love it but gets frustrated it won’t work on his Thomas track (it does state it’s for wooden tracks) and also he wants it to go up the hills which it won’t.

Great addition to our train track collection. I love the little recording feature where you can record your own train station announcements. It seems pretty durable and was extremely easy to assemble. Can’t beat the price either! Compatible with brio, ikea and gigglescape wooden train tracks

Don’t buy it
The front left wheel broke off within an hour of playing it. And they are almost too large for regular tracks. They don’t stay on, and they fall off. The engine isn’t strong enough to get up a simple Hill.
