Victron Energy Smart Battery Sense, Voltage and Temperature Sensor, Long Range (up to 10m)

Connection via app all went fine, I managed to brake the fuse holder so replaced that but all seems to work as it should.Surprised it came in plain white box and not a victron box like all there other items I've bought.

Ordered this to work with my Victron smart solar controller and not go through the “Sargent “ system. Works a treat

Compared to my Victron MPPT controller and my Victron BMV -712 the Smart Battery Sense has a very short bluetooth range. It reaches about 3metre maximum rather than the 10 metre it claims.This is not really important as the items talk to each other fine inside my camper van. I have been used to easily monitoring my Victron products via the App from inside my study, with the campervan parked just outside the window. I have to go outside to the actual van to pick up the bluetooth signal from the Battery Sense device. Other wise it does what it says.

Good addition to victron solar controller to optimise battery charging and protect battery. Easy to fit.

Useful for my battery/MPPT setup as temperature comensation needed. Easy to set up and view on Victron app on phone. Takes a while to connect each time you wake up the app, which is annoying, but still useful.

It's not the greatest of indicator, but it's a safe software for the user ,which is very important .Other indicator units ask you to register your software before you can use it, which doesn't seem right to me ?

This was easy to install and with the app, really easy to add to my Cerbo GX, the rings on the crimp ends are quite big but a washer sorted that, I might consider changing them for smaller ones.
