It works! Faster and easier. It’s hard to screw in the nuts and bolts but tighten to make the screw head flush

They tend to warp some I just flip over using the other side. They do say to stack on the sides. A few wads of clay keep them from clicking back and forth mostly when opening. I really do love them though.

Im not sure what changed from the original set i purchased (Bat System for Potter’s Wheel, 12” Round Outer Bat with Set of Six 7” Square Inner Bats, Bat Adapter with Removable Inserts for Throwing Pottery, for Potters and Clay Artists (6)), but these new set of 6 additional bats are absolutely trash now. The original purchase worked well, no problems, I saw some comments about these extra 6 feeling differently and the original, and brushed it off. i bought more inserts and boy, that was a mistake. These new ones ruined everything i let dry on them, even when wiring them off and leaving them to dry. Had to throw everything out that I left to dry on them and will have to throw all 6 of these out now.I originally tried to save my pieces but i can't even scrap the pulp off, its just entirely more work and the clay is ruined. They've also warped so much that I can easily figure out which 6 are the bad ones because they're bigger than the insert allows now. I only used these twice.

After reading the reviews of customers having “ bad luck” with these bats I was worried about ordering them. However, I use them for hand-building pottery and have not had any problems with them. Great choice for working on mugs and bowls in pottery. I can leave my pieces on the bats to let them dry. I highly recommend these. Even after cleaning them off with a wet sponge I have not had any problems with warping or the bats falling apart.

Beware!! I’ve bought them previously several times and they seem to have changed them to a different material! ~ My most recent batch completely ruined all my cups because the bat stuck to all of them. Super sad because these are my favorite, I’m hoping they go back to the old design.

This arrived quickly. The quality is good and it is just as described. I've bought these multiple times and they last a long time without warping.

I purchased the Bleeker system spring of 2024. Spring 2025 I ordered these extra bat inserts. They are made of a completely different material and warped and chipped upon first use. As a potter, warping bats is never the goal and never wanted. I wish I could get my money back on these, however I didn’t get the chance to use them until the return window closed. After making 1 mug on these bats they no longer fit nicely in the system. Previous system bats are tempered and shiny, dry easily and havent warped in months of use. These new ones are very fiberous and the fibers pull up with every mug and have bowed after one use. Do not purchase, make your own or buy some of quality. Photo shows two mugs thrown right after each other, left is the bad bat (see the gap underneath it), right is the good bat from 2024, already dry and not warped.
