As we’ve been having some really cold nights here in UK and I don’t like getting into a freezing bed I purchased this electric blanket It’s so good The three heat settings are very hot, nice and warm and only just takes the chill off First time I used it I put it on number three and when I got into bed a couple of hours later it was actually hot but amazing Last few nights I put it on number two and that was ample. I think unless it’s really cold number two setting will be used the most I’m not sure whether I need to warm it up for two hours like I did. My previous electric blanket needed ages to get warm and that cost £80. Tonight I’m going to try just one hour and see how that works Just a note for anyone that hasn’t used an electric blanket before you MUST cover it with your duvet when you switch it on to retain the heat; if you leave it uncovered it won’t warm up properly The switch on this electric blanket is very robust with a really nice slider control and the off position is both ends of the slider so if you want to turn it off in the dark just slide it either way until it stops, very useful I got the dual controller version as I like it warm/hot but my partner likes it just just to take the chill off So pleased I got this and @ £28 it’s a bit of a bargain and don’t see the need to spend any more Absolutely love it and highly recommendable

This is fantastic, can't believe how quickly it heats up and stays so warm even after turning it off it's amazing and the fit is brilliant and it's so easy to put on and secure onto bed, and it's not thick under the sheet would not know it there only for the wonderful heat, love it that much am buying another one

*NEW UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM - READ IF YOURS ISN'T WARM ENOUGH!* As a person who always has cold feet and hands, and a very cold hermit hermit in general, this is a great product for winter nights and even better when paired with an Alexa plug so that you can “preheat” it before getting into bed. My only complaint is that it does not get VERY warm. I was gifted this back in 2018 and after a good 3 years it gave up on me. Facing really cold winters, I decided to buy a new replacement… which unfortunately does not get as warm as the previous one! I remember feeling LEGIT toasty with the old version on setting 2 after I left it turned on for 30~ minutes, but with this new one I just feel a slightly warmth when I get into bed even after leaving it to preheat for 1 hour on setting 3. I was really surprised at the difference in heat and slightly disappointed since I really liked how warm it let me get. Also, it doesn’t seem to cost that much, it seems to cost 2-3p per hour based on my (not-so-smart) meter. If you are looking for something to warm you up, this is a good start! *UPDATE* Okay guys, I was a bit of a silly billy. I made one FATAL mistake when I put this under my top sheet! It's super important that you place it the right way. Now, you may ask, "what is the right way?". When I initially installed this, I put it with the plug at the end of my feet. It's really important to put the plug coming out from the top of the sheet - it is a bit annoying because then there is a hard bit of plastic right next to your face, but hey ho. This is because I guess that since it's the closest to the heating element, that side heats up the fastest; when I installed it wrong, my feet would be very warm (whoop) but not so much my upper body. Having now swapped it, I notice a big difference between the two! To be honest, I still think that it's less hot than the 2018 version which is why I left my review at 4 stars, but placing this the right way definitely improved the overall warmth, so I definitely recommend that you swap the sides if you installed it as I previously had!

Bought this for my camper van. Although its a “double” size don't expect it to fit a double bed its smaller by quite a bit but it happily runs off a 12v 220w inverter inside my camper van from my 200ah lithium bank no problems heats up good and i can keep it on all night and it wont drain my batteries.. Defo a good buy. Please note im NOT stating this is a 12v blanket its mains 220v but i used a 12v to 220v 220watt inverter to run this in my van with no issues..

The Premium Comfort King Size Electric Blanket is very good value for money. It heats up quickly, is economical to use on the lowest heat setting and is very warm on the highest heat setting. I am impressed. I am also very pleased there is only one heat setting controller, as I find they tend to get in the way along with their electric cables. The electric blanket plug is also conveniently situated very near to one corner of the blanket. I have not had any issues with it getting in the way. As this is an economy blanket, it's quite thin. I prefer this and hardly ever feel it underneath the valance and bed sheet which I place above it. When I first received the blanket, I was quite dubious of it: I noticed there are not too many string attachment points to keep the blanket in a fixed position. There is plenty of string supplied with the blanket however and I extended a few of the strings which I had previously attached, as set out in the supplied diagram. The blanket is now fixed in place with about twice the amount of string as recommended and there is still quite a lot of spare string remaining. The extra string will certainly do no harm: The string has been pulled tight, but not as tight as possible, which could put a strain on the blanket and it's string attachment points. The diagram recommends strings running horizontally along the underneath of the width of the mattress. I also have string running at 45 degree angles under the corners of the mattress, top and bottom, in order to fix the blanket in place length ways as well as the recommended width way. I hope this helps all the people who are new to attaching electric blankets with the familiar story of having poor written instructions supplied with a product.

I recently wrote a review in respect of the worst value for money purchase off Amazon, this review relates to the best value product I have bought. I am over 70, never owned an electric blanket, I bought this one on the spare of the moment via 'We found something you may like', at a very reasonable price, nothing to loose. How is is made for this price???. Never experienced getting into a bed as warm as created by this blanket, fabulous. The two control switches are non digital so you can use a timer, although both function, one has a faulty 'on notification' light. Thoroughly recommend, see how long it lasts, if only for a while it will be well worth the money, shall never be without an electric blanket again.

This is an OK electric blanket. However, we purchased the double and it is too short. I can either have warm feet and cold shoulders or warm shoulders and cold feet. It needs to be at least another 20cm longer. In the area that does heat up, it gets nice and warm on the high heat setting. On the lowest setting it hardly does anything. When I switch the blanket on, I place our pillows on top of our duvet in the area that we sleep which helps trap in the heat.

The elastic band that goes around the mattress is a bit long
