Didn't Fit but Easy Fix
I drive a 2005 Civic LX. I bought this part for the passenger rear door. First let me say that everything about this actuator is the exact same compared to the actuator I took out of my door with the exception of the little plastic control arm. In pictures 1 & 2 the actuator is mounted into place with the two screws (which lined up perfectly). In these pictures you can see the little white plastic control arm does not line up. When the control arm is in one position, fully back, the end of the control arm reaches down, under the black plastic trim. Also, the metal locking rod is too long to fit into the control arm. In picture 2, you can see the control arm in the other position, and that again the metal locking rod is still long to fit, and that the control arm barely reaches up above the black plastic trim. I removed the little white plastic control arm by pulling the little pin out of the side of where it is mounted. I then drilled out the the rest of the piece so that the hole went all the way through the control arm. (Picture 3) I then reattached the control arm back onto the actuator, but backwards, and reinstalled the little pin and squeezed the end with pliers so the pin wouldn't pop out. In picture 4 you can see that the control arm now functions properly, while mounted properly in place. The length of the metal locking rod is perfect length to fit into the control arm, and the control arm no longer reaches under the black plastic trim. (Picture 5). It was annoying to figure out, but once I did it was a very easy fix. I think the manufacturer put the driver side control arms on the passenger side actuators, but I'm not completely sure. I gave it 4 stars because even though this was pretty inconvenient, once I found the solution it was very easy to fix. To do this modification you will need: a drill (or something to put a hole all the way through the control arm)plierssomething to push the pin out of the tiny hole (I used a super tiny screwdriver) small nail might work.10 - 15 minutes, not including taking apart and rebuilding the door. I hope this helps guy, cheers o/
